Pretty Birdcages for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by either s sketch or a colour combo.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pretty birdcages card, you will need:

Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Flirty Flamingo card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Night of Navy & Basic White card

I stamped the beautiful birdcages across one of the Basic White panels using all of the colours specified. I started in the centre and masked off the stamped images before stamping the next so that they appeared in the background.

Beautifully Happy card for the Colour Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Colour Combo Blog Hop where we are creating with the following colours:

Here are the colours used in this :

I used the pretty new stamp set Beautifully Happy to make my card.

To recreate the beautifully happy card, you will need:

Poppy Parade card – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4 ½” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White, Poppy Parade & Coastal Cabana card

I stamped the solid inner floral image in the upper left and lower right corners of the Flirty Flamingo card base using Flirty Flamingo ink.

The large sprig of flowers was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto the smaller panel of Basic White card. The in-fill leaves were then stamped in Coastal Cabana ink.

I used Flirty Flamingo and Poppy Parade Blends Markers were used to colour the flowers. A Coastal Cabana Stamp ‘n Write Marker added colour to the base of the flowers and smaller leaves.

I wrapped a length of Sweet Sorbet Metallic Woven Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. Yes I know it is technically another colour but in my opinion the colour is much closer to Flirty Flamingo. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card base on Dimensionals.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the mountain scene card:

Starry Sky card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Daffodil Delight card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside

I stamped the detailed mountain image in Starry Sky ink across one of the Basic White panels. The detailed line of trees was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink at the base of the mountains. I inked the image again, stamped off onto scrap paper, turned the image upside down and stamped again in the foreground. I stamped multiple times until all the ink was gone.

Using a Post It Note, punched with a 1” Circle Punch I placed it in the sky overlapping the mountain range. I used Sponge Daubers to add Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight ink above the mountains to indicate a sunset. I removed the mask and added a little Daffodil Delight ink to the moon.

An anniversay card made for the Crafty Challenge Colour Blog Hop using the Mountain Air stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Mountain Scene Anniversary card for Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop. I am sharing a mountain scene card made using the colours dictated by the challenge:

To recreate the mountain scene, you will need:

Garden Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Fresh Freesia card – 5⅞” by ⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic Black card – 2⅜” by ⅜”

The strip of Fresh Freesia card was adhered to the Garden Green card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive,

The detailed mountain image was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink across the smaller Basic White panel. I cleaned the stamp and turned it face down onto the same block. I inked up the back with Fresh Freesia ink, stamped it off and the stamped it over the detailed mountains, slightly offset.

The trees were stamped at the base of the mountains in Garden Green ink. I inked the same tree image in Smoky Slate ink, stamped it off onto grid paper and stamped it upside down below the trees. I stamped it repeatedly until no ink remained.

Using the retired ¾” circle punch, I punch a circle from a Post It Note and added it above the mountains. I used a Blending Brush to add Smoky Slate ink to the sky and also around all four edges. The mask was then removed. The panel was then glued to the Basic Black layer with liquid glue and then mounted the panel onto the Garden Green card front using  Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ringed With Nature stamp set in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Black card and covered it with White Embossing Powder. It was heat set using a Heat Tool and added it to the card front.

A trio of Classic Matte Dots completed the card. I hope you like it.

Please hop on to see what my friends have created using this colour combo.

A framed occasions card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share colour challenge Blog Hop using the Framed Occasions stamp set and Beautiful Shapes Dies by Stampin' Up!

Occasion Framed card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge. We were asked to create something using 3 of the following 5 colours:

I couldn’t pick just 3, I mean which 3 would you choose?……..so….. I used them all + Basic White to create an occasion framed card.

To recreate the occasion framed card, you will need:

Thick Basic White care base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Design A Daydream dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Polished Pink card – Smidgeon under 5” by smidgeon under 3¼”
Basic White card – 4⅞ by 3⅛”
Scrap Basic White card

The layer of Design A Daydream designer series paper (dsp) was glued to the Thick Basic White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the hexagonal frame in Blackberry Bliss ink onto the scrap Basic White card an added the sentiment in Tahitian Tide ink. This was then die cut using the Beautiful Shapes dies.

The die was then placed on the panel of Basic White card and using a pencil, I drew lightly around the inside. This helps when positioning the stamped images.

Th flowers were stamped first in Polished Pink ink, I always like to stamp the larger images first. The leafy sprig was then stamped in Parakeet Party, the outer image in full strength and the infill image in 2nd generation ink.

The smaller sprig was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink, the long thin, sprig added in Parakeet Party and finally, the trio of dots in Tahitian Tide. The pencil lines were then erased and the stamped panel added to the Polished Pink layer.

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine were wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape and the panel added to the card front using the same liquid glue.

The sentiment piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. A double bow, made using the 2022-2024 In Color Twine was added with a Mini Glue Dot. I coloured three basic rhinestones using the Polished Pink Blends Pens and added them to complete the card.
