Stamp ‘N Hop for a Spring Picnic With You

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop blog hop! My name is Maureen but most people, other than my Mother call me Mo and I live just outside Cambridge in the UK.  The theme of this month’s hop is a favourite item from the Occasions catalogue which is available until 31 May 2018. Decisions, decisions what to choose, the new catalogue is packed with fab things……..hmm………in the end I chose the Picnic For You stamp set and co-ordinating Picnic Basket Builder dies. I am ssoooo… ready for Spring and I love a picnic, so a perfect choice.

I started by stamping the basket from the Picnic With You stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I stamped the loaves in 1st and 2nd generation Soft Suede ink then the outline cupcakes using the same ink. The icing for the cupcakes was added in Berry Burst ink. The cute little bottle was stamped in Night of Navy ink. I stamped the apples in Pear Pizzazz ink and added a touch of Berry Burst ink to one side with a Sponge Dauber. The checked cloth was stamped in Berry Burst ink and everything was then die cut using the Picnic Basket Builder dies and the Big Shot.

Taking a piece of the Color Theory dsp 5¼” by 3½” I added ½ a Delicate Doily towards the bottom and stuck all the die cut elements using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The basket was added on top on Stampin’ Dimensionals and the checked cloth glued on with Tombow. The basket looked lovely and full.

I added a panel of Soft Suede cardstock 5” by 2¼” behind the upper left hand corner of the dsp before adding the whole piece to a Thick Whisper White card base. The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scrap Whisper White cardstock and trimmed out with Scissors. I felt the sentiment needed a pop of colour so added a small piece of Berry Burst cardstock punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border Punch. Perfect………looks good enough to eat.

Colorful Seasons for July classes

We had a great time at last weeks’ classes using the fabulous  Colorful Seasons stamp set and co-ordinating Seasonal Layers dies and……. we made the first Christmas card of the year!!! Love Christmas.

The first card the ladies made was a double fold card. We used Thick Whisper White cardstock for the base and after folding added a piece Berry Burst Designer Series Paper (dsp) from the Color Theory paper stack to the front panel.

Using a piece of Whisper White cardstock which had a circle die cut out and a Stampin Sponge we added a circle of Pink Pirouette onto a small panel of Whisper white cardstock. Next we stamped the branches from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Early Espresso ink and added the flowers using the Berry Burst ink pad. They look so pretty and give a soft Asian feel to the panel. We die cut the Adirondack chair using the co-ordinating Seasonal Layers dies from the a piece of Early Espresso cardstock.  We mounted the stamped Whisper White panel onto a panel of Early Espresso cardstock. The chair was added to the panel using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. We added the whole panel to the card front again using Tombow.

The second card was more autumnal in colour and theme. We stamped the small solid leaf image randomly down the side of a Thick Whisper White card base in Old Olive ink. We stamped the same image in the same ink onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock which we then punched using the Scallop Tag Topper punch. We also punched the top of a strip of Color Theory dsp in Crushed Curry and added it using Tombow Liquid Adhesive to the back left hand side of the tag. Using the Seasonal Layers dies we cut a partial leaf shape from the Old Olive tag and also cut a filigree leaf from a piece of Crushed Curry cardstock. A small solid leaf was stamped in Crushed Curry ink and die cut using the matching die. A small piece of Crushed Curry Ribbon was stapled to the top if the tag using the now retired Handheld Stapler and the staple hidden by the small Crushed Curry leaf. The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive ink before the tag was added to the card front using Stampin Dimensionals. The filigree Crushed Curry leaf was then added to the card front using Tombow.

For the last card we stamped the 2 snowflakes from the Colorful Seasons stamp set randomly onto a layer of Night of Navy cardstock using Whisper White Craft ink and set it aside to dry. The sentiment from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set was stamped onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock using Night of Navy ink. The 3 snowflake dies in the Seasonal Layers set were then die cut from a strip of Whisper White cardstock. When the Whisper White Craft ink was dry, it takes a couple of minutes; we added the sentiment piece using Tombow then mounted the whole panel onto the card front using Stampin Dimensionals before adding the die cut snowflakes with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.

Love all of these cards using this fantastically versatile stamp set and dies. I hope you like them.
