The detailed flower was the stamped on the un-embossed card with Fresh Freesia ink. The infill colour was added with 2nd generation Fresh Freesia ink. I stamped the detailed image on Masking paper and used it to cover the stamped image before stamping the leaves with Soft Sea Foam ink, 1st generation for the detailed image and 2nd generation for the infill colour. I added the small leafy sprig and buds using the same inks.

A length of Fresh Freesia Satin Ribbon was wrapped around the embossed and decorated panel before it was added to the Fresh Freesia panel and then to the Soft Sea Foam card front.

The sentiment, from the Fragrant Layers stamped set was stamped in Highland Heather ink on scrap Basic White card. It is a much longer sentiment, so I masked off the words I didn’t need before inking up and stamping. The sentiment was then die cut using the Perennial Postage dies. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Flowers Fair Overlay Card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are working it a dice roll challenge. We are creating projects featuring – neutrals, a fancy fold, a punch or die cut, a trinket and the sentiment ‘for you’.

I created the flowers fair overlay card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White – 4⅛ by 3⅛”
Basic White – 3¼” by 3”
Seasons of Elegance dsp – 5¾” by ¾”
Seasons of Elegance dsp – 4” by 1¼” x 2

As the Flowers Fair stamp is large, I used a Stamp Positioner to stamp the image onto the 3¼” by 3” piece of Basic White card using Early Espresso ink.

A striking monochromatic, black and white card made using the Shell Collecting stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Monochromatic Shells Card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by a dice roll giving us masking, standard vertical, pearl, for you and black and white. I have made my monochromatic shell card using the Shell Collecting stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the pop out monochromatic shell card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White panel bigger than 5¼” by 3½”

I cut a circle, centrally in the upper half of the larger, scrap piece of Basic White card. I placed the negative piece over the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card and secured it in place with a little washi tape. I used a Blending Brush to add a little Memento Tuxedo Black ink to the exposed circle. The masking panel was then removed.

I stamped the largest shell, overlapping the inked circle with the same Memento Tuxedo Black ink. The same image was then stamped onto a Post It Note and fussy cut out. I then used it to mask off the stamped shell.

With the mask in place, I stamped the two smaller shells in the same black ink. The mask was then removed.

I chose a sentiment from the Fragrant Layers stamp set, masked off the words I didn’t want with washi tape. The words I did want were then inked with the Black ink, the washi tape was removed and words stamped onto the circle.
