Beautiful coral coloured flowers made into a birthday card using the Art In Bloom stamp set, Bloom Dies & Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder

Art In Bloom card

I have been playing with the beautiful Art In Bloom stamp set and the co-ordinating Bloom Dies and Bloom Hybrid Embossing Folder. This is such a clever combo, I loved being able to emboss and die cut all in one go………so clever.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Art In Bloom card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8½” by 5½” – scored on the long side at 4⅛”
Calypso Coral card – 5½” by 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3¾”
Scrap Old Olive and Basic White card

Using the Scalloped Contour Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut the largest scalloped rectangle from the Calypso Coral card. I then embossed the scalloped rectangle using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.
I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to glue the die cut to the Petal Pink card base.

Gorgeous butterfly themed cards made using the Butterfly Bijou dsp by Stampin' Up! for a class in the mail

Butterfly Bijou Class in the Mail

Today I am sharing the projects I designed for my April Cass in the Mail using the gorgeous Butterfly Bijou designer Series Paper (dsp). This paper is stunning, I am so sad that it is only available until May or while stocks last.

Each pack contained all the card stock needed to make each card including the pre embossed panel for the two butterfly card, 6 sheets of the Butterfly Bijou dsp – I die cut the butterflies from one of the sheets for those who don’t have the Brilliant Wings dies  and I cut the dsp panels for those without a paper trimmer. A strip of Oval Rounds, a gold hoop and a little treat. The ladies provided their own sentiments.

We added the Gold Hoop to the card front using liquid adhesive and the butterflies were added on Dimensionals. The card was decorated with the Oval Rounds

To recreate the Fun Fold Butterfly card, you will:

Calypso Coral card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” & 2”
Misty Moonlight – 5 ½” by 3 ¾”

We folded and burnished the card base, the centre panel in half then the other score line back on itself – this makes a Z shape.

Seasise Seashells embossing Folder by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty gold flecked card

Gold Flecked Seashells

I have been playing with the gorgeous Sand & Sea Suite today and Oh My Goodness it is stunning: I especially love the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder which gives the most amazing texture.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the seashells card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
So Saffron – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner – inside
Very Vanilla – 5½” by 3¾”– rounded upper left corner
Scrap Very Vanilla & Balmy Blue

I used a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with 70% Isopropyl Alcohol and a pea-sized blob of Frost White Shimmer Paint to spray the smaller So Saffron panel. I left it to one side to dry, so sparkly……

When the panel was dry, I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss Machine with the Seashells 3D Embossing Folder.

I gently rubbed my Versamark ink pad over the top of embossed panel, covered the panel with Heat & Stick Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I covered the layer with Gold Gilding Flakes, rubbed off the excess and used one of the Blending Brushes to burnish. I wrapped some Lace Trim around it the panel and used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the embossed panel to the larger Very Vanilla panel. The whole piece was added to the Misty Moonlight card base using Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment from the Friends are like Seashells stamp set in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Very Vanilla card and die cut it out using one of the Tasteful Labels Dies.

I stamped both types of fronds using Night of Navy or Balmy Blue ink and the starfish in Night of Navy ink, all on scrap Very Vanilla card. I stamped the small clam in Balmy Blue ink on scrap Balmy Blue card. I used my Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to draw some lines on the clam shell, let it dry until tacky then rubbed on some Gold Gilding Flakes.

I added the shells and fronds with Dimensionals to the card front. To finish the card, I added a trio of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.

An all occasion card made using the Enjoy the Moment stamp set and Brick & Mortar embossing folder by Stampin' Up!

Brick & Mortar

Today I am sharing a pretty, muted card made using scraps I had kicking around on my desk, the Enjoy the Moment Embossing Folder and the Enjoy the Moment stamp set.

Colour combo for todays project is:

To recreate the Brick & Mortar card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic Black – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Soft Sea Foam – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Gray Granite – 3¼” by 2¼”
Soft Sea Foam – 3” by 2”
Basic White – 3” by 2”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside

I embossed the large Soft Sea Foam panel a while ago, using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, thinking to use it on another project. While I was tidying my desk……….. I found it and decided to use it.

I began by wrapping a length of Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the embossed panel, adhering it on the back using Sellotape.

The embossed panel was then adhered to the Basic Black panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same liquid adhesive to then add the panel to the Gray Granite card base.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies I cut scalloped stitched rectangles from the smaller pieces of Gray Granite and Basic White card.

The sentiment was stamped in Gray Granite ink and the sweet chestnut clusters added to the panel in Soft Sea Foam ink. I added the panel of Soft Sea Foam card between the Basic White and Gray Granite scalloped rectangles and added the piece to the card base on Dimensionals.

To complete the card I added a bow made using the Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon and a trio of Matte Black Dots.

I hope you like the card.
