Glue the smaller Basic White panel to the Calypso Coral layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. Insert the bottom into the Vintage Bottle Punch as far as it will go and punch through both layers.

Colour the larger flowers using the Petal Pink Stampin’ Write Marker, colour the remaining flowers with a Calypso Coral Stampin’ Write Marker and the leaves with a Mint Macaron Marker. I huffed on the image to re-moisten the ink and stamped onto the punched panel, above the bottle aperture.

We turned the panel face down and inserted the bottle into the negative space. We added a large pinch of the Effervescent bubble to the bottle. We punched another bottle using the same punch from scrap Mint Macaron card and stamped randomly over the bottle with Mint Macaron ink. The stamped bottle was inserted into the panel to close the back.

The whole piece was glued to the Petal Pink card front and Basic Rhinestones added to the largest flower centres.

The sentiment, from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto the die cut label – from the Hydrangea Dies. It was added to the bottle neck with a White Baker’s Twine Bow.

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing a project we are working on and I have chosen to share the happiness fun fold card made for my lovely Mum’s birthday. This card was inspired by a card made by fellow demonstrator Terri Gaines

Melon Mambo card – 5” by 3 ½” – score on the long-side at 2½”
Hues of Happiness dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅞”

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A beautiful fun fold card made using the Happiness Abounds stamp set, Blossomng Happiness Dies and Hues of Happiness dsp for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

I glued the panels of the gorgeous, Hues of Happiness dsp to the larger Melon Mambo panel. The small panel of Basic White was glued to the left-hand side of the larger Bermuda Bay layer. The remaining piece of Simply Marbleous dsp was added next to it. To cover the join, I added the 1/8” strip of Bermuda Bay card.

Using Tear ‘n Tape around the top and side, I added the triangle of Misty Moonlight ink to the upper right corner of the card base to provide the latch.

I inked up the large wave image using Bermuda Bay ink and added patches of Pacific Point and Misty Moonlight using Sponge Daubers and stamped it onto the larger Basic White panel. This was then mounted on the Misty Moonlight panel using the liquid glue.

The pelican on the posts was stamped in Soft Suede ink and coloured using Crumb Cake and So Saffron Blends Markers. I die cut it out using the co-ordinating Wave Dies and added it, on Dimensionals to the stamped panel. The whole piece was then added to the card front, taking care to add ink only to the left-hand side. The top of the stamped panel then tucked under the latch.

I stamped the poles with and without birds three more times on scrap Basic White and cut them out to add inside the card.

Tri-Fold Shutter card for a special birthday

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog hop where our theme is ‘Fun Fold’. I love a good fun fold and the Tri-fold Shutter card is new to me and I couldn’t wait to try it for a friend’s special birthday.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the tri-fold shutter card, you will need:

Gorgeous Grape card – 10 ½” by 5 ½”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 1⅝” x 2
Basic White card – 2⅞” by 1⅝” x 2
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 1⅛” x 2

Taking the Gorgeous Grape panel and my Paper Trimmer I cut on the short side from 1¾” to 8¾” on both sides. The cuts should be parallel and matched up.

Next I scored on the long side at 1¾” from both ends but only between the two cut lines and then from 3½” and 7” from top to bottom.

I took my time to choosing patterns from the gorgeous Pansy Petals dsp. My friend loves purple so these were the colours I went for first. I added in the Soft Succulent gingham to break up the purple. The dsp was adhered to the Basic White panels which were then glued to the Gorgeous Grape card.

I carefully folded and burnished the score lines of the card to form the tri-fold shutter shape.

Using my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Brilliant Butterfly Dies I die cut some of the butterflies from the scrap Gorgeous Grape card, Highland Heather card and Be Dazzling dsp. I also used some of the iridescent paper left over from the Wonderful Snowflakes to die cut a couple of butterflies.

The butterflies were added to the card front with a dab of Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive.

Using the Playful Alphabet dies I cut the number 50 from the Be Dazzling dsp and added them to the card front.

The word ‘today’ was stamped in Gorgeous Grape ink onto a scrap of Basic White card. It came from the Timeless Tulips Stamp set. I masked off the words I didn’t need before I inked up the stamp. The word was trimmed out using scissors.

I decorated the butterflies and the card with some of the Subtle Shimmer Sequins to complete the card.

I added a panel of white to the back to write my message on.

The stunning Beauty of the Earth designer series paper by Stampin' Up! and used to make a clever fun fold card

Beauty of the Earth dsp

Today I am sharing a simple but clever card made from the Beauty of the Earth designer series paper. I saw an example of this style of card made by fellow demonstrator Julie Davison and had to try it myself.

Colours used in this project are;

To recreate the Beauty of the Earth card, you will need:

Beauty of the Earth dsp – 12” by 4” – scored at 5 ½” and 11” on the long-side
Bumblebee card – 5¼” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Soft Sea Foam – 3 ¾” by 2 ¼” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Soft Sea Foam. Mossy Meadow & Basic White

I folded and burnished on the 5½” score line and again on the 11” score line, but this time folded it back on itself. I glued the 1” strip down with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. It makes such a nice contrast don’t you think?

The tree trunk was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto the Basic White panel. I added the tree canopy in Mossy Meadow ink and the more detailed leafy layer in Bumblebee to give a more textured look.

The stamped panel was added to the Bumblebee layer and then to the dsp card front. This serves to give the card some rigidity.

The same tree trunk was stamped again in Soft Suede ink onto the small panel of Soft Sea Foam. I stamped the tree canopy and leaves again in the same way onto scrap Soft Sea Foam and die cut using the Beautiful Tree dies and my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine. The canopy was added to the trunk with the liquid glue. I added a speckle of green spots around the tree image. The panel was added to the card front with Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped in Soft Suede ink onto scrap Basic White card and trimmed it out with scissors. I added a strip of Mossy Meadow card to the base of the panel and added the sentiment over top.

I really like this style of card and really shows off the dsp. I hope you like it.

A special birthday funfold card made using the Beauty of Friendship stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Beauty of Friendship fun fold card

Here is a Beauty of Friendship fun fold card made for my daughter Camilla’s birthday. I saw LeeAnn Greff, a fellow demonstrator, demonstrate it on YouTube and I knew this was the perfect card for her as she loves the outdoors. I changed the dimensions to fit A4 card stock and also some of the colours.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the beauty of friendship card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card – 6½“ by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Soft Succulent card – 3½” by 3” scored at ½” on the short side
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 2¼”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 2½”
Soft Succulent card – 3” by 2½”
Basic White 2¼” by 2”
Scrap of Balmy Blue

I took the 2 scored pieces Soft Succulent, laid them on my work surface with the smaller panel on the right-hand side. Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I adhered the ½” tab of the smaller piece to the larger panel.  You should then have a gate fold type card with a long thin left panel and a shorter, wider right-hand panel.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A beautiful fun fold using the Beauty of Friendship stamp set for a special birthday card

I place the 3 largest panels of Basic White card stock onto my work surface. I punched a circle from a Post It Note using the ¾” Circle Punch and placed it in the upper left-hand corner of the smallest panel.

Using a Blending Brush I added Soft Sea Foam ink to all three of the panels. The ink was added gradually in circular motions, building up the colour slowly. I then added Soft Succulent ink around the edges of each panel in the same way.

The bare trees were then stamped in Soft Suede ink, 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation to give the effect of depth.

I added the ‘tree canopy’ image to the stamped full-strength tree on the smallest panel. I used the soft succulent ink and the spotty image to add some texture to all the panels

.

The stamped panels were then glued to the Soft Succulent card. The largest one on the inside, covering the ½” tab which holds them together.

Using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and my Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut a label from the remaining Soft Succulent piece and a smaller label from the Basic White piece.

The sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick stamp set was stamped on the white label in Soft Succulent ink and I added a couple of small flowers in the same ink. The flowers were from the Flowers of Friendship stamp set.

The labels were then glued together. They were added to the left-hand panel of the card with a couple of Dimensionals. Make sure that the Dimensionals are well over to the left and that the right-hand panel of the card can tuck under.

To complete the card, I die cut 2 of the sweet little birds from the Beautiful Trees dies from scrap Balmy Blue card and added them to the card front. I used a Black Stampin’ Write Marker to add their eyes and a trio of Genial Gems.

I absolutely love this card, thank you LeeAnn for the inspiration.
