This Little Piggy says Thanks

I am loving the new This Little Piggy stamp set, it is absolutely adorable and such fun to use. My upline Mikaela Titheridge  – https://thecraftyoinkpen.co.uk/ – nearly exploded with excitement when this set was demonstrated at Onstage Live in April, our team name is The Stampin’ STYlettes as Mikaela lives in a converted pig sty – this is therefore such an appropriate set for the team. One of my team mates was lucky enough to receive this set in Prize patrol at Onstage Live and for a minute we thought  there might be bloodshed, but luckily Mikaela manged to swap stamps sets with a girl from another team……..

I made this card for Mikaela as a little thank you for all the help and support she has given me over the last 2½ years and especially for her help with a recent order.

I stamped the adorable little piggy onto a layer of Whisper White cardstock using Archival Basic Black ink. Using an Aquapainter I coloured him in using the Powder Pink ink pad for the body, Blushing Bride ink pad for the snout and shading  and Crumb Cake ink pad for around the snout and the bottom. As I was using regular Whisper White cardstock I was careful to keep the brush as dry as possible and not to go over the image to often to stop the cardstock ‘pilling’. The ground was coloured using the Crumb Cake ink pad and some grassy tufts added in Wild Wasabi ink. I absolutely love him.

I pondered adding some ribbon at the top of the panel but decided against it and rounded the top left hand corner instead. I added three of the smallest Subtles Enamel Shapes in the Wild Wasabi colour. I really like all the white space on the panel. The stamped piece was added to a layer of Wild Wasabi cardstock using Tombow Liquid Adhesive before being added to a Powder Pink card base using Dimesionals. I added a layer of Whisper White cardstock to the inside of the card and stamped the pig using Powder Pink ink, the sentiment from the set was added in Archival Basic Black ink.
