The Scenic Garden stamp set, by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty water-coloured card

A Scenic Garden card

The lovely Scenic Garden stamp set was used to make this pretty water-coloured birthday card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the scenic garden card, you will need:

Soft Suede card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Sweet Sorbet card – 5⅛” by 3⅝”
Fluid 100 card – 5” by 3½”
Very Vanilla card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Soft Suede card

I mounted the image stamp onto one of the plates from my Stamparatus, inked it up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it down onto the panel of Fluid 100 paper. Because the water colour card so textured I find I need to stamp two or three times to get a good impression and the Stamparatus makes this so easy to do.

Using a Water Painter and inkpads I coloured in the image. I used Soft Suede ink for the bench, Granny Apple Green for the grass and foliage, Sweet Sorbet for the flowers, Smoky Slate for the ground and finally Balmy Blue for the sky and to pull the whole image together.

When it was dry, I glued the water-coloured panel to the Sweet Sorbet layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a length of Linen Thread around the panel before mounting it onto the Soft Suede card base on Dimensionals.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The beautiful Joyful Flurry stamp set and Frosted Flurry Dies used to make 3 cards for the November classes

We used the Stamparatus to stamp each of the snowflakes to create the wreath.

Each snowflake was stamped 4 times, rotating the panel of Basic White card 45° between each stamping.  I created a template for making the wreath using Square Dies and some window sheet.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Orchid Oasis and then to the Parakeet Party card base.

We added a Wonderful Snowflake and the sentiment which was embossed in white on the strip of Orchid Oasis card.

Card 2 – Brushed Background card

A pretty pastel card featuring the Pretty Medallion stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Pretty Medallion card

I have been playing with the beautiful Pretty Medallion stamp today and have used some soft pastel shades to colour in the image.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pretty medallion card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 4⅞” by 3⅞”

Basic White card – 4” by 1¾”
Fresh Freesia card – 4” by ¼”

A beautiful card featuring bleached daisies and made using Stampin' Up! products

Bleached Daisies for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share blog hop where we are sharing anything we choose. I have decided to share a card made using the ‘bleaching’ technique.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the bleached daisies card, you will need;

Evening Evergreen card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
So Saffron card – 5¼” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner
Soft Succulent card – 5⅛” by 3½” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White

I mounted the large Daisy Garden stamp onto the Stamparatus plate and place the Soft Succulent panel onto the base.

A beautiful card featuring bleached daisies and made using Stampin' Up! products

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A bleached daisies card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop using the Dairy Garden stamp set

I inked the stamp in Soft Succulent ink and stamped it down, I repeated this step until the image was dark enough. The soft succulent panel was left in position on the Stamparatus base.

A beautiful card featuring bleached daisies and made using Stampin' Up! products

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A bleached daisies card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop using the Dairy Garden stamp set

Using a dry Blender Pen I began to colour in the flowers using bleach. I love the effect this gives.

A beautiful card featuring bleached daisies and made using Stampin' Up! products

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A bleached daisies card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop using the Dairy Garden stamp set

When the bleach was dry, I inked up the stamp again with the Soft Succulent ink and stamped again over the top of the flowers to give the image more definition.

I glued the stamped panel to the So Saffron panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a length of the gorgeous Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the layer, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was added to the Evening Evergreen card base using the same liquid glue.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A bleached daisies card made for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop using the Dairy Garden stamp set

The sentiment from the Elegantly Said stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card in Evening Evergreen ink. I punched the sentiment out using the Tailored Tag Punch. The white tag looked so bright against the stamped image so I inked up the Daisy Garden stamp in Soft Succulent ink, stamped it off on scrap paper and stamped it over the sentiment. Much better. The sentiment was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

To complete the card, I added a bow made from the same ribbon and a trio of Artistry Blooms Sequins.

I love this technique, such fun. I hope you like it.

Please continue to hop on to see what .the lovely Tricia has to share with us today.

A lovely card made for the Stampin' Up! On Tour Event in April 2021 using the Etched In Nature stamp set

On Tour Swap

Today I am sharing the card I made as my virtual swap for the recent On Tour Demonstrator Training session. As part of the registration the participants were sent a brand-new stamp set called Etched in Nature and we were encouraged to use this set for our virtual swap. Unfortunately, some of the stamp sets turned out to be defective and Stampin’ Up! Being the fabulous company they are replacing all the sets sent out with a set of the demonstrators choice while they work out the problem.

Using my Stamparatus to stamp the image multiple times; I did manage to get an acceptable image.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Etched In Nature card, you will need:

Mossy Meadow card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Real Red – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner

With the image mounted on the Stamparatus plate I used Mossy Meadow and Real Red Markers to add ink to the stamp. I stamped it on the smaller Basic White panel but didn’t get a good image. So I inked it up again using the same pens and thus time I spritzed it with water in the hope that this would work to spread the ink………. And it worked.

I used Flirty Flamingo, Poppy Parade, Daffodil Delight and Highland Heather inks The Stamparatus makes it so easy to build up colour by adding multiple layers of ink. When the panel was fully inked, I glued it to the Basic Black panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I wrapped a length of Glittered Organdy Ribbon around the panel, tying it in a knot at the front. The whole panel was then added using the liquid glue to the Poppy Parade card base.

Next I placed the smaller panel of Whisper White card in the Stamparatus and stamped the more solid tiled image in Magenta Madness ink. With the Stamparatus you have the opportunity to stamp multiple times to get a really good image.
