A pretty potted plant card made using the halo technique for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Halo Potted Plants

Today I am sharing a sweet halo potted plant card using the gorgeous Plentiful Plants stamp set and Perfect Plants Dies and some Whisper White craft ink.

Colours used in the halo potted plant card are:

To recreate the halo potted plant card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Evening Evergreen card – 4½” by 3½”
Scrap Basic White and Polished Pink

I ran one of the panels of Basic White card through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Ornate Floral Embossing Folder and added it to the Polished Pink card front using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

From the Evening Evergreen panel, I die cut a scalloped rectangle using the Scalloped Contour Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

I inked up one of my Blending Brushes with Whisper White ink and started swirling the ink onto the centre of the Evening Evergreen rectangle building up the colour gradually. I then added Soft Succulent ink around the edge of the whitened area and finally went in with Night of Navy ink around the edges to darken them up.

I stamped the pot in Cinnamon Cider ink onto scrap Basic White card. The leaves were stamped onto the same scrap card in Soft Succulent  ink add some Evening Evergreen ink to the edges with a Sponge Dauber . I then die cut these using the Perfect Plants Dies. I die cut the sweet flowers using the Hydrangea Dies and scrap Polished Pink card. All of these pieces were added to the inked Evening Evergreen panel, the pot and leaves with liquid glue and the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.

The whole panel was then to the card front. I decided to add a sprinkling of tiny flowers onto the panel using Basic White ink. 2021-2023 In Color Jewels were added to the flower centres. I stamped the sentiment from Sweet As A Peach stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink onto scrap Basic White card and ticked it in behind the plant pot.

I removed the Post It Notes and added the rectangle to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.
