Next I started to decorate the remaining panels of Basic White card beginning with the largest.  I inked up the spray of lavender blooms with Highland Heather ink and added some Gorgeous Grape using a Stampin’ Write Marker. This image was then stamped at the top, left hand side of the panel. The stems were stamped in Lost Lagoon ink.

The number 60 was die cut from scrap Gorgeous Grape card using the Alphabet A La Mode dies. I stamped each number 4 times and glued them one on top of the other using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. This gave some dimension to the number. The number were then added to the panel using the same liquid glue.

The sentiment, from the Something Fancy stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto the small strip of Pretty Peacock card, covered with white embossing powder and heat set. I flagged the ends with scissors and added the banner, over the numbers with a Dimensional on both ends.

A You're My World card made for the Music Blog Hop using the Watercolor World stamp by Stampin' Up

You’re My World card for the Music Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Music Blog Hop where we are sharing musically inspired projects. I was visiting my Mum recently, she is living in a care home with Alzheimer’s, and a singer was entertaining the residents and one of the songs she sang was ‘You’re My World’ which was a big hit in 1964 for Cilla Black. I vividly remember my Mum singing this to my brother and I, she had a lovely voice and loved to sing. I made my card with this song in my mind.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the you’re my world card. You will need:

Basic Black card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black

Using the Alphabet A La Mode Dies, I die cut the word W,O, R, L, D from the centre of the panel of Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper, making sure to keep away from the edges.

Taking the smaller Basic White panel, I placed it on my Simply Scored Scoring Tool and scored on the long side at 1” increments – so at 1”, 2”, 3”, 4” and 5”. On the short side at 1”, 2” and 3”

The scored panel was then placed onto a stamping platform and the large Watercolor World stamp lined up where I wanted it, I picked it up with the plate.

The image was inked up with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped down, I re-inked the image and stamped it again to get a darker image. The stamped panel was then glued to the Dry Brushed Metallic Specialty Paper panel. The whole piece was mounted to the Basic Black card base with Dimensionals.

I used the Alphabet A La Mode dies to die cut the ENJOY letter from scrap Boho Blue.

Boho Blue Blends were used to colour in the bird houses and 2 of the birds. The lemonade in the glasses and the remaining bird were coloured using Lemon Lolly Bends. The leaves in the plant pot were coloured with Lost Lagoon and I used a Pebbled Path Blend to add some shading to the plant pot and rocking chair.

I cut the two balustrade die cuts in half giving me 4 pieces. I then began to decorate each square with all the die cut pieces, some were glued on using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, others were added using Dimensionals. The word ENJOY was glued to the rectangle below the white trellis piece.

I added some Loose Daisy Embellishments to a couple of the panels. The panels were then adhered to the 8” by 8” panel of Boho Blue card. I trimmed down the mount using my Paper Trimmer and inserted the panel into the box frame and closed up the back/

I really love it.
