Sweetly Swirled and Beautiful Bouquet stamp sets make a pretty welcome to the team card

Sweetly Swirled & Beautiful Bouquet for a new team member

Today I am sharing a sweet card made to welcome a new team member. I wanted the card to be bright and cheerful and chose to use the Sweetly Swirled stamp set, the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the demo only stamp set – Stamping Your Way To The Top.

To Recreate the Welcome to the Team card you will need;

Lovely Lipstick card base 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Pineapple Punch 5½” by 3¾”
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2

I began by stamping the swirly frame from the Sweetly Swirled stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto one of the Whisper White panels. The sentiment from the Stamping Your Way To the Top stamp set in Lovely Lipstick ink in the centre of the circle.

I stamped some of the flowers from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set onto scrap Whisper White cardstock using Lovely Lipstick ink, Flirty Flamingo ink and Pineapple Punch ink. I die cut the flowers using the co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch dies.

I laid the die cut flowers around the swirly circle, roughly where I wanted them. I lifted the flowers and stamped the  leaves in Granny Apple Green ink.

The flowers were then added using either Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive or Dimensionals. I stamped a few more of the tiny Pineapple Punch flowers to fill out the floral groups. I finished by adding a trio of Iridescent Sequins.

I stamped the flowers and leaf onto the remaining panel of Whisper White and glued it inside the card. The same images were stamped on the front of the envelope.

Gorgeous cards made at a Stamp-a-Stack featuring the Bird Ballard designer series paper

A Bird Ballard Stamp-a-Stack

Today I am sharing the projects made by the ladies who came to my Bird Ballard Stamp-a-Stack yesterday. On arrival each lady was given a kit bag containing a pack of the Bird Ballard designer series paper (dsp), a pack of the Iridescent sequins, 20 co-ordinating card bases, 20 envelopes and all the pre-cut layers to make 20 cards; 2 each of 10 designs. They also had a little chocolate treat to keep them going.

Beautiful Bouquet for February Classes

Beautiful Bouquet Classes

We have had a fab time over the last week in my February classes playing with the gorgeous Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch dies. This set contains 21 dies and 37 stamps including some lovely scripted sentiments.

Beautiful Bouquet for February Classes

The first card we made was very simple. We started with a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock 3⅞” by 3⅛” and stamped our chosen sentiment, either from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set or the Mother’s day sentiment from the Thoughtful Banners stamp set, at the bottom of the panel using Berry Burst ink. Above that we stamped the flower stems in Wild Wasabi ink. Next we added flowers in Calypso Coral ink, So Saffron Ink and Night of Navy ink. We stamped 2 flowers in Berry Burst ink onto scrap Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut these using the Big Shot and the  Bouquet Bunch dies and added them to the stamped layer on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The stamped layer was added to a piece of Berry Burst cardstock after corner rounding the upper left corners with the retired Project Life Corner Rounder using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. Taking a small strip of Night of Navy cardstock, 4⅛” by ¼” and a pair of scissors we cut a banner end and glued the piece to a Thick Very Vanilla Card base with Tombow. The stamped layer was then added to the card front on Stampin’ Dimensionals. To finish off we added some Basic Pearls to the 2 largest flowers.

Beautiful Bouquet for February Classes

For the second card we started with a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock 5½” by 3¾”. We began by stamping the largest of the flowers in Calypso Coral ink on the right side of the panel. We added flowers in So Saffron ink, the Night of Navy ink and Wisteria Wonder ink. The leaves were added in Wild Wasabi ink. I always start with the larger images and use the smaller images to fill in the gaps. Taking a layer of Night of Navy cardstock 5⅝” by 3⅞” and punched out a label using the Pretty Label Punch, I love doing this, no one will ever know there is a piece missing behind the stamped panel. I corner rounded the upper left and lower right corners of the stamped panel and the Night of Navy panel. We added a piece of Calypso Coral Shimmer Ribbon to the panel securing it to the reverse with Sellotape, before adhering the two layers together with Tombow. The panel was then added to a Calypso Coral Card Base. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy onto scrap Very Vanilla cardstock and die cut using the Layering Circles dies and added to the punched label. This was added over the ribbon on Stampin’ Dimensionals and Basic Pearls added to a few of the flowers and the label.

Beautiful Bouquet for February Classes

The final card began with a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock 5⅞” by 4⅛” and a Paper Trimmer. We lined the upper left hand corner up with the cutting track and the lower right hand corner roughly 1 – 1½” up the right side and cut. Keeping the upper left hand corner in the cutting track we swung the panel to the right and cut again about 1 – 1½” on the bottom edge. This leaves 2 triangles and a piece that looks like a man’s tie. Setting the triangles to one side we placed the ‘tie’ shaped piece onto the front of a Thick Very Vanilla card base with the thin piece in the upper left corner and the wider piece in the lower left corner and drew a light pencil line down both sides. This defines the area we needed to fill with our stamped images. We started again with the largest images and worked through to the smallest image using Calypso Coral, So Saffron, Berry Burst, Night of Navy, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder inks  and erased the pencil marks when we had filled the area. We stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on the left hand panel before adding the left and right hand panels using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. We stamped the largest and smallest flowers onto scrap Very Vanilla and die cut them using the Big Shot and the Bouquet Bunch dies. We also die cut leaves from Wild Wasabi cardstock and flowers from So Saffron cardstock. All of these elements were added to the top of the stamped diagonal panel using Tombow or Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Beautiful Bouquet for February Classes

The ladies loved the cards and I loved the colours, so bright and cheerful. Hope you like them.
