A lacy flowers card made using the Blossoming Happiness Dies and the Hues of Happiness dsp by Stampin' Up!

Lacy Flowers card

I have been playing with texture today and have a lacy flowers card to share with you.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the lacy flowers card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 3¼” by ¾”
Hues of Happiness dsp

I ran the larger panel of Basic White through the Cut & Emboss Machine with the Fern Embossing Folder and glued it to the Thick Basic White card front.

The smaller panel of Basic White card was die cut using the lacy die from the Blossoming Happiness Dies. This die is stunning, it partially cuts and partly embosses, so pretty. This piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I die cut the flowers from the Hues of Happiness dsp, actually these are all the partial flowers from around the edge. These were arranged on top of the lacy layer.

The sentiment from the Happiness Abounds stamp set was stamped on the strip of Basic White card and die cut using the Beautiful Shapes Dies. I added it on Dimensionals to hide the messy cut off flowers.

Using Daffodil Delight and Polished Pink Blends, I coloured in 5 of the Basic Pearls and added them to the card front along with a double White Baker’s Twine Bow.

A Gilded Happiness card for the Adhesives Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Adhesives Blog Hop where we are sharing projects and tips using some of the adhesive options. I am sharing a pretty gilded happiness card using gilding flakes and the Happiness Abounds stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the gilded happiness card, you will need:

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Calypso Coral card – 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic Gray card – ½” strip
Scrap Basic White card

I placed the smaller panel of Basic White card onto my Silicon Mat and added strips of Tear ‘n Tape Adhesive in the lower left corner. I cut off the excess. Using the Silicon mat means I don’t have to worry about the tape sticking to everything else!!!

The backing paper was removed and I carefully, dunked the sticky panel into my tub of gliding flake. I love the gilding flakes but my goodness you can make a real mess with them if you aren’t careful. I used a Blending Brush to rub away the excess flakes revealing the golden stripes. The panel was then added to the Calypso Coral panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive which gives a little wiggle room to get the layer perfectly positioned. The panel was then added with the same liquid glue to the Petal Pink card front.

I stamped 3 of the flowers and 3 sets of leaves from the Happiness Abounds stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto scrap Basic White card and die cut them out using the Blossoming Happiness Dies.

The flowers were coloured using Petal Pink and Calypso Coral Blends Pens and the leaves using Old Olive Blends Pens. I used Gray Granite Blends to colour the flower centres.

The flowers were curled using a bone folder and added to the card front on Dimensionals. The leaves were tucked under the flowers and secured with liquid glue.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Basic Gray card, covered with Gold Embossing Powder and heat set it with a Heat Tool. I flagged the end with Scissors and added it to the card base with a Dimensional on right and liquid glue on the left.
