The image of a tower of macarons from the Birthday Goodness stamp set makes a sweet shaker card

Birthday Goodness

I have been playing with the Birthday Goodness stamp set this week and have made a really sweet shaker card for my sister in laws birthday.

To recreate the Birthday Goodness card you will need;

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Rococo Rose cardstock 5 ½” by 3 ¾”
Whisper White cardstock 5⅜ by 3⅝” x 2
Rococo Rose cardstock 4¾” by 3¼”
Window Sheet 5” by 3½”

I die cut a rectangle from the centre of one of the Whisper White layers using a Rectangle Stitched die. Using the same die and the next one up I die cut the frame from the smaller panel of Rococo Rose cardstock.

I stamped the tower of macarons in Basic Gray ink onto the die cut stitched rectangle and coloured it in using the following Blends markers – Rococo Rose combo, Seaside Spray combo and Crumb Cake combo……….don’t they look good enough to eat!

I glued the Rococo Rose frame to the Whisper White frame using Multipurpose liquid Adhesive and added the window sheet to the reverse using Mini Glue Dots.

The larger Rococo Rose panel was added to the card front using the same adhesive. Placing the ‘frame’ onto the card front I added the same adhesive to the back of the stamped piece and nestled it inside the frame. The frame was then lifted away abd foam adhesive strips added all round the rectangular aperture making sure to leave no gaps.

I placed a pinch of the Woven Threads Seqiuns on top of the stamped image and added the frame over the top. The sentiment was stamped on basic Gray ink and added to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

The inside of the card and the envelope were stamped with the tower of macarons in the Basic Gray ink.

Such a pretty card. I hope you like it.

Hello Cupcake stamp set used for the Inspire, Create #033 challenge

Hello Cupcake for the Inspire, Create #033 challenge

Today I am sharing a sweet card made using the Hello Cupcake stamp set. This set is one of the choices in the Sale-a-Bration Brochure available from the 3rd January. For every £45 or placed between the 3rd Jan and the 31st March 2019 you can choose one of the items from this brochure for FREE…………..and don’t we love free stuff! This card was made for the Inspire, Create #033 challenge the theme being ‘Party’ and no party is complete without cake……

To make the Hello Cupcake card

I stamped the cupcake base from the Hello Cupcake stamp set in Soft Suede ink onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it out using my Big Shot and the Layering Circles Dies. While I had the Big Shot out I also die cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from Poppy Parade cardstock.

I stamped the cupcake top in Poppy Parade ink onto a scrap of Whisper White and fussy cut it out using my scissors. I added it onto the die cut stamped circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added some randomly stamped tiny flowers to the circle in Poppy Parade ink and added the stamped piece to the scalloped Poppy Parade scalloped circle using Multipurpose liquid Adhesive.

I added the circle topper to the card front using the same adhesive and stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Poppy Parade ink onto the card front and added a bow and some of the Red Rhinestones for an added bit of sparkle.

I hope you like the card.

Dainty floral cake for a congratulations card

Cake Soiree and bunting

I have been playing with the Cake Soiree Stamp Set over the last few days. Such pretty, delicate images in this stamp set which at first glance screamed weddings to me but it can be used for so much more.

To make the card

I started with a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock 4 ¾” by 3” and stamped the intricate floral cake image in Momento Tuxedo Black ink at the bottom. I coloured in the flowers using the Light & Dark Daffodil Delight and the Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends. I used the Light & Dark Old Olive Blends to colour in the leaves.

I stamped the ‘bunting’ and the sentiment from the In The Trees stamp set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink in the upper right hand corner of the Very Vanilla panel and coloured the bunting in using the Light & Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends and the Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Pens.

I rounded the upper left corner using the WRMK Corner Rounder and added it to a layer of Daffodil Delight cardstock, also with a rounded corner using Tombow Liquid Adhesive. I wanted to soften the card and add some texture so added a piece of Very Vanilla Lace Trim to the right side of the stamped panel and added the finished topper to a Crumb Cake card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the small flowers in Daffodil Delight ink and rolled the edges of one in Calypso Coral ink and the other in Crushed Curry ink before die cut them using the Sweet Cake Builder Dies. I added one to the top of the cake using Tombow Liquid Adhesive and the other on a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I hope you like the card today.
