The Cactus Cuties stamp set used to make a pretty card for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Cute Cacti for the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have a colour challenge and I have used the cute cacti stamp set. The colours we have been given are:

I added Basic White to the mix

To recreate the cute cacti card, you will need:

Rich Razzleberry card base – 8¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Blushing Bride card – 5⅛” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3½” – Rounded upper right corner
Hand Penned dsp – 3 ½” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using a Blending Brush, I applied Blushing Bride ink to the smaller Basic White panel. I added the strip of Hand Penned dsp towards the bottom of this panel. The panel was then glued to the Blushing Bride layer and then to the Rich Razzleberry card front.

I stamped the 2 pots on scrap Basic White card, one in Misty Moonlight and the other in Coastal Cabana ink.

The cacti were stamped on the same scrap card in 1st and 2nd generation Old Olive ink and the flowers in both Rich Razzleberry and Blushing Bride. All the images were fussy cut using sharp scissors.

All the pieces were adhered together using Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive. They were then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Rich Razzleberry ink.

A pretty floral card made using the Soft Spring stamp set

Soft Spring Floral Card

Earlier this month I Took part in the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where we were challenged to make a card using the following colours – Blueberry Bushel, Lovely Lipstick, Granny Apple Green and Silver. I loved this colour combo so much I thought I would use it again for thoday’s card using the Soft Spring stamp set.

To Recreate the Soft Spring card you will need:

Blueberry Bushel card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White cardstock – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2 – rounded upper right corner
Silver Foil – 4 ¼” by 3¼” – rounded upper right corner
Whisper White cardstock 4” by 3” – rounded upper right corner
Scrap Blueberry Bushel for the sentiment

I ran one of the larger Whisper White panels through my Big Shot with the Mosiac Embossing Folder. I wrapped a length of ⅛” Lovely Lipstick Grosgrain ribbon around the panel securing it on the back with Sellotape.

I stamped the delphinium like flowers onto the small panel of Whisper White using the Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

The leaves were infilled using the Granny apple Green ink and the solid leaf stamp. The bottom of the flowers were inked up using the Blueberry Bushel ink pad and the topof the flowers using the Lovely Lipstick ink pad. You could also do this using Stampin’ Write Markers.

The Embossing buddy was then swiped over the stamped panel to remove static and the dragonfly stamped using Versamark ink. I covered the image with Silver Embossing Powder and hear set it usig my Heat Tool.

The stamped piece was then mounted onto the Silver Foil layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and the whole panel was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto a scrap of Blueberry Bushel, covered with the Silver Embossing Powder and heat set as before.

I added a bow in the same ribbon and some Metallic Pearls in silver to complete the card front.

I stamped the dragonflies onto the remaining Whisper White panel and glued it to the inside of the card. The dragonflies were then stamped in the same ink onto a Whisper White envelope.

Such a soft and pretty card, love the 2 tone flowers. I hope you like it.

Floral Frames stamp set by Stampin' Up! used for the Global Design Project #169

Floral Frames used for the Global Design Project #169 challenge

Today I am sharing a sweet card made using the Floral Frames stamp set for the Global Design Project #169 colour challenge. We were asked to use Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade and Pool Party to make our project, a gorgeous colour combo. I have had this stamp set for a while and not used it but I certainly will use it more as it is stunning.

Update – this card has been chosen as one of the winners of the GDP challenge.

Making the card

I began with a panel of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5¼” by 3½”. I inked up the large floral image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and stamped it onto the Whisper White panel. I stamped the double and triple flower images at the same time using the same ink and some scrap Whisper White cardstock. I die cut both of the flower images using my Big Shot and the Foliage Frames dies.

Using the Poppy Parade combo, the Pool Party combo and the Granny Apple Green combo Blends pens I coloured in the large stamped image and both of the small floral images. I stamped the sentiment in Pool Party ink in the centre. Using the Decorative Trio Punch I rounded the upper right and lower left corners before adding the stamped panel to a panel of Poppy Parade cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝”.

I wrapped a piece of Poppy Parade Striped ribbon around the bottom of the panel securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then added to a Pool Party card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the double and triple flowers onto the card front on Stampin’ Dimensionals, added some of the black Faceted Dots to the flower centres and 3 extra to decorate. I added a Poppy Parade striped ribbon bow to finish the card.

To the inside of the card I added a Whisper White panel measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and stamped the triple flower in the corner with Poppy Parade ink and added the leaf sprig in Granny Apple Green ink.

Beauty Abounds stamp set by Stampin' Up! used for the Just Add Ink #438 colour challenge

Beauty Abounds for the Just Add Ink Colour Challenge #438

I have made a great card today using the Beauty Abounds stamp set for the Just Add Ink #438 challenge. The theme was to make a project using Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green plus one other colour of our choice and I choose Gray Granite.

Making the card

I began with a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5¼” by 3½” and stamped the large floral swirl from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Gray Granite ink onto the panel.

Taking the Lovely Lipstick and the Granny Apple Green Blends Combos I coloured in all the flowers and leaves. I stamped the sentiment in Lovely Lipstick onto a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and die cut it using my Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. I added a butterfly in Gray Granite ink above the sentiment. I die cut a scalloped Granny Apple Green circle using the Layering Circle dies and added it to the back of the sentiment with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added 2 more Gray Granite butterflies to the stamped panel and coloured them all in with the Lovely Lipstick and Granny Apple Green Blends.

I rounded the upper right corner of the panel with the Detailed Trio Punch and added the sentiment on Dimensionals to the bottom right corner. I added the stamped layer to a panel of Lovely Lipstick cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅜” using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive and added the whole panel to a Granny Apple Green card base with the same glue. To finish I added a liberal scattering of Basic Rhinestones.
