Flap Over, Diagonal Fold Card for the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘N Hop Blog Hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. I am not sure what the name of the fun fold card I am sharing is, so I am calling it a flap-over, diagonal front card and I made it using the Crafting With You stamp set.

Main colours in this project are:

To recreate the flap-over, diagonal front card, you will need:

Azure Afternoon card base – 11¾” by 4⅜ – scored at 5⅞”
Bright & Beautiful dsp – 5 ¾” by 4”
Bright and Beautiful dsp – 5½” by 4” – cut in half from bottom right to upper left to form a triangle
Lemon Lime Twist card – 7” by 3½” – scored at 3½”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 3¼” x 2
Scrap Basic White card

I began by Folding and burnishing the Azure Afternoon card base on the scoreline, I then opened the card up again, and cut from the bottom of the front panel to the scoreline.

The larger piece of Bright & Beautiful dsp was then glued to the back of the card front. I placed the triangular piece of dsp onto the card front, trimmed it down to fit and glued it in place.

Taking one of the masks from the Artistic Mix pack, place it onto one of the Basic White panels and added Lemon Lolly ink using a Blending Brush.

The sentiment was stamped in Azure Afternoon ink onto the inked panel which was then glued to the front of the Lemon Lime Twist panel.

I used Blueberry Bushel ink to stamp the image of the die-cutting machine, from the Crafting With You stamp set onto scrap Basic White card. This was then die cut using the Crafting With You Dies and added to the inked panel.

Tiny flowers from the same stamp set were stamped in Azure Afternoon ink onto the remaining panel of Basic White card and adhered it inside the small Lemon Lime twist card base.

The small card base was then glued to the inside of the Azure Afternoon card base with the front coming over the diagonal panel.

A trio of Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins completed the card.

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pretty Peacock card – 3 ¾” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 4½” by 3”
Pretty Peacock card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I wasn’t sure what I wanted to back the panel with and found a Pretty Peacock scrap that I though might look nice just peeping out on each side………. Sadly, it didn’t. I ended up cutting the piece in half diagonally and adding the triangles with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive in the upper right and lower left corner. I had originally planned to trim off the pointy bits but decided I liked them.

I stamped the trio of flowers in Petal Pink ink in the upper left and lower right corners of the Petal Pink card base and added the stamped panel using the liquid glue.
