Paper pieced watching lady for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop where were are sharing projects demonstrating the paper piecing technique. I have used the In The Moment stamp set and the Masterfully Made designer series paper.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the waiting lady card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Masterfully Made dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Berry Burst card – 4½” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 4⅜” by 2¾”
Berry Burst card – 3 ¼” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – for the inside
Scrap Masterfully Made dsp

The large panel of Masterfully Made dsp was glued to the largest panel of Basic White card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was added to the card front using the same liquid glue.

The same image was stamped again onto 3 different pieces of the lovely Masterfully Made dsp. Using Scissors I cut the dress from one pattern, The belt and cuffs from another pattern and the hat from the third pattern. These pieces were then glued in place on the original image.

Using the following Blends Pens I coloured in the rest of the image – Petal Pink for the arms, 2 of the darker shades from the Naturals Collection for the hair, Crumb Cake for the railings and Berry Burst for the wine in the glass. I used a light Pool Party Blends Pen to outline the figure and blurred the edges using a Color Lifter.

A strip of Silver Ribbon was wrapped around the panel before it was glued to the Berry Burst layer. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Earthen Textures stamp set, was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Berry Burst card, I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. The sentiment was then die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. I added it over the ribbon using Mini Glue Dots.

A ribbon bow and a trio of Glossy Dots completed the card.

Floral Thank You Card

Today I am sharing a sweet split panel floral thank you card made using the Art Gallery stamp set and gorgeous Flower & Field designer series paper by Stampin’ Up!

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the floral thank you card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pool Party – 5½” by 3¾”
Vellum – 3⅜” by 2¼”
Flower & Field dsp – 6” by 1¼”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Scrap Basic White

I began by stamping the group of flowers image from the Art Gallery stamps set onto scrap Basic White card, once using Granny Apple Green ink and again in Pool Party ink. I then stamped the more detailed image in Bermuda Bay ink onto the Pool Party flowers. These flowers were then fussy cut out and added overtop of the Granny Apple Green flowers with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive,

Using my Paper Trimmer I cut the panel of Pool Party card at an angle and stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay ink along one edge.

The panels were then added to the Pool Party card front using Dimensionals, leaving a gap of about 1” between the two panels.  I made sure not to put the Dimensionals too close to the edge of the panels so that I could slide the piece of Flower and Field dsp into the gap gluing it down with the liquid glue and trimming off the excess with Scissors.

The scalloped rectangle was die cut from the vellum panel using the Mini Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

I added the spray of flowers using liquid glue to the Vellum rectangle before adding the panel across the gap with Mini Glue Dots positioned behind then flowers and leaves.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Woven Thread Sequins.
