Sweet Cherry Blossom for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we hare sharing a project we have been working on. I am sharing a sweet cherry blossom card mad for a special persons’ birthday.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the sweet cherry blossom card, you will need:

Blushing Bride card – 10¾” by 5⅞” – scored at 5⅞” on the long side – Rounded upper right corner
Flirty Flamingo card – 7 ¾” by 3⅞” – scored at 3⅞” on the long side – Rounded upper right corner
Flirt Flamingo card – 5⅝” by 5⅝” – Rounded upper right corner
In Good Taste dsp – 5½” by 5½” – Rounded upper right corner
Flirty Flamingo card – 5⅝” by 4⅝” – Rounded upper right corner
Fine Art Floral dsp – 5½” by 4½” – Rounded upper right corner
Basic White – 3¾” by 3¾” x 2
In Good Taste dsp – 3 ⅝” by 3⅝”
Scrap Basic White

I began by putting the larger, outer card together. The layers of dsp were glued to the slightly larger panel of Flirty Flamingo card before being glued to the Blushing Bride card base.

The inner card was put together in the same way. The dsp was glued to one of the Basic White panels and added to what would become the flap over card front. The smaller card was then lined up onto the open larger Blushing Bride and glued in position,

Using the sentiment from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set, I stamped it in Early Espresso ink onto the second panel of Basic White. I added the flower and leaf from the Forever Blossoms stamp set and coloured it in using Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow & So Saffron Blends Markers. The panel was then glued to the inside of the smaller Flirty Flamingo card.

I stamped the large cherry blossom bough onto scarp Basic White card in Early Espresso ink. I used the same Flirty Flamingo, Mossy Meadow & So Saffron Blends Markers to colour in the image.

It was then added to the front panel of the smaller card on Dimensionals. A bow of Blushing Bride Twine from the Snail Mail combo pack was added to the bough.

The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Basic White card and trimmed out. I tucked the sentiment under the bough.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Basic Rhinestones which I have coloured using the dark Flirty Flamingo Blends Marker.

I used an Envelope Punchboard and a piece of dsp measuring 9½” by 9½” to make a custom envelope.

I do hope you like it.
