Beary Cute Christmas cards for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing anything Christmas. I love Christmas crafting and have chosen to share the cards I designed for my November classes using the Beary Cute stamp set, Beary Cute Punch and the gorgeous Beary Christmas dsp.

Colours in these cards are:

Circle Hinge card

Balmy Blue card base – 7¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Balmy Blue – 3½” by 1” – scored at ¾”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – for the inside
Balmy Blue – 5⅞” by 3⅛”
Balmy Blue – 3¼”” by 3¼ ” – Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies
Stargazing dsp – 3¼” by 3¼” – Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies
Basic White – ½ a stitched circle
Scrap Basic White

We embossed the 5⅞” by 3⅛” piece of Balmy Blue card using the Timeworn Type embossing folder and glued it to the card front.

We folded the 3½” by 1” piece of Balmy Blue card and glued the smaller tab to the inside of the back of the card base to form the hinge. The hinge was then covered with the Basic White inside panel. We stamped the smaller snowflake in the upper right and lower right corners of the inside panel in Misty Moonlight ink, 1st and 2nd generations.

The card  was closed and the die cut Balmy Blue circle, placed face down on the front of the card and the hinge glued to it’s back. The die cut circle of Stargazing dsp was then glued over the top to hide the workings ogf the hinge.

A wavy top was cut across the half stitched circle to form a snowbank for the bear to stand on, it was then glued to the bottom of the stargazing dsp circle.

The polar bear was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Beary Cute Punch. It was glued to the stitched circle.

We stamped the sentiment, from the Merry & Bright stamp set onto scrap Basic White card  in Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut them out before adding them to the card. Iridescent Pearls completed the card.

Negative Circle Card

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 4⅛” by 4”
Adhesive Sheet – 4⅛” by 4”
Beary Christmas dsp – ⅜” strips

Scrap strips of By the Bay designer series paper and the Something Fancy stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a pretty striped sympathy card

Striped Sympathy card

Today I have made a sympathy card using scraps of By the Bay designer series paper left over from making my February class table gifts.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the striped sympathy card, you will need:

Mint Macaron card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 6” by 1½”
Night of Navy – 6” by ½”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – For the inside
By the Bay dsp strips a minimum of 4½” long and of varying widths

I applied strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to all 4 sides of the 5⅞” by 3” piece of Basic White card. The backing from the adhesive tape was removed and I began laying the strips of By the Bay dsp from top to bottom, making sure to over lap the top and the bottom. I continued with this until the panel was completely covered.

The excess dsp was then trimmed off using sharp scissors. A length of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The ½” strip of Night of Navy card was glued to the top of the striped panel. I ran the 1½” strip of Night of Navy through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with one of the Basic Borders Dies and adhered the resulting decorative edge to the bottom of the striped panel. The whole piece was then added to the Mint Macaron card front with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment, from the Something Fancy stamp set in Night of Navy onto the square of Basic White card and die cut it out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals. I love the pretty font of this stamp set.

A Christmas card made using two houses from the Coming Home stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Coming Home for Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop where our theme this month is the August to December Mini Catalogue. I have chosen the fabulous Coming Home stamp set, Home Together Dies and the Trimming the Town dsp to make my card. If you have joined me from the talented Jessica Brigden you are very welcome.

To recreate the Coming Home card you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper right corner
Shaded Spruce 4½” by 2 ½”
Whisper White 4” by 3”
Whisper White 5⅜” by 3⅝” Rounded upper right corner
DSP strip 5 ½” by ½” – I chose the Most Wonderful Time dsp
DSP strip 5” by ¾” – I chose Trimming the Town dsp
Scrap Whisper White card

I began by using the Stitched So Sweetly dies to die cut a scalloped rectangle from the Shaded Spruce and small Whisper White pieces.

I stamped the small snowflakes from the Coming Home stamp set in Pool Party ink across the top of the die cut Whisper White piece and mounted it onto the Shaded Spruce die cut panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Next I die cut some of the adorable houses from the Trimming the Town dsp using the Home Together Dies. I love it when the die set co-ordinate with some of the dsp images, so easy to make a quick card. The houses were glued to the stamped rectangle with the same liquid adhesive.

The large tree from the Coming Home stamp set was stamped onto scrap Whisper White card in Early Espresso ink and coloured using the Shaded Spruce and Soft Suede Blends Makers It was added to the stamped panel on Dimensionals.

Using the Banner Triple Punch I flagged both ends of the DSP strips and glued them to the front of the Pool Party card base using the liquid glue. These were 2 scrap pieces that happened to co-ordinate with the colour combo I was using. You can use anything you happen to have.

Using a Paper Trimmer I cut off the left hand side of the scalloped Rectangle piece and added it to the card front with the liquid glue. The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Christmas stamp set was stamped onto the card front with Misty Moonlight ink and a trio of Adhesive-backed Snowflakes added to complete the card.
