Trick or Treat Card – Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by the theme ‘trick or treat’. Now, Halloween isn’t a big thing in the UK so I haven’t got any of the new Halloween themed stamp sets or dsp and as we are in the middle of packing up our house ready to move most of my craft supplies have been packed away so I have made the best use of what I have.

Colours used to make this card are:

Basic White

Crushed Curry

Basic Black

I created the trick or treat card using the following supplies:

Basic Black card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Black dsp – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Crushed Curry and Basic Black

I embossed the panel of Basic Black card using the Fern & Flora 3D Folder and glued it to the 5⅜” by 3⅝” piece of Basic White card.

The embossed panel was then adhered to the Basic Black card front.

From scrap Basic White card, I die cut the larger circles using the smallest of the Stylish Shapes Circle dies……. I have packed all my circle punches ……accept the retired ½” Circle which I used to punch out the small Black Circle, the circles were then glued together before being added to the card front.

From scrap Crushed Curry card, I cut a triangle and tucked it under the circles.

The sentiment, from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (I know it is retired but under the circumstances I hope you’ll forgive me) was stamped with Black ink on scrap Basic White card and trimmed down before being added to the card front.

Striped Leaves Card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing a technique of our choice. Now, I am in the middle of moving house and most of my craft room is packed and ready to go so I have used things I have to hand. One of my favourite things is to use up scraps and I have used this idea with the Elegant Leaves dies to create a pretty birthday card.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the striped leaves card using the following supplies:

Basic Black card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic Black – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Scenic Coast dsp – 6” by ⅜” x 6 or 7
Adhesive Sheet
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White

Using the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder I embossed the Basic Black layer and adhered it to the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card. The whole panel was then glued to the Basic Black card front.

I found a scrap piece of Basic White card big enough to die cut the leaves I wanted to use and added a piece of Adhesive Sheet to cover it.

The strips of Scenic Coast dsp were then applied, at an angle to the sticky side of the Basic White panel, trimming of the overhanging pieces reusing them if possible.

I die cut the large leaf and two smaller leaves from the striped panel and added them to the card front, the large and one of the small leaves on Dimensionals and the remaining leaf with Liquid Adhesive.

The sentiment, from the Banner Sayings stamp set was stamped with Black ink onto scrap Basic White card, punched out using the Three Banner Punch and added to the card front to complete the card.

Pumpkins Anniversary Card – Stamping With Friends

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing projects using a product of the month. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Glow of Harvest dsp to make my card.

Colours used in making this card:

I created the pumpkin anniversary card using the following supplies:

Cloud Cover card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Cloud Cover – 5¾” by 4”
Timid Tiger – 4¾” by 3½”
Basic White – 4½” by 3¼”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Glow of Harvest dsp & Old Olive

I used the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder to emboss the large panel of Cloud Cover card and adhered it to the Cloud Cover card front.

I die cut two arches from the panels of Basic White and Timid Tiger card. The sentiment, from the Sunset Coast stamp set was stamped on the white arch with Old Olive ink. I masked off the words one and a time and stamped the other. The arches were then glued together.

From the Glow of Harvest designer series paper (dsp) I fussy cut three pumpkins. Using Blends Pens I added colour to each pumpkin, Cloud Cover for the smallest, Golden Glow and Timid Tiger for the two larger pumpkins. I added Crumb Cake to the pumpkin stalks with Blends Pens.

The pumpkins were then added to the arched panel, the larger two on Dimensionals. I tucked some leaves, die cut from scrap Old Olive card using the Flowering Meadow dies, around the pumpkins.

I added a couple of die cut leafy sprigs behind the arches and used the Golden Glow Shimmer Pen to add some more colour to the Golden Glow pumpkin.

Copper Masked Butterflies Card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are using a masking technique to create our projects today.

I created the copper masked butterflies card using the following supplies:

Azure Afternoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Lemon Lime Twist – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Basic White – 3 ¼” by ½”
Scrap – Basic White

I embossed the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card using the Fern & Flora 3D Embossing Folder and adhered the embossed panel to the Lemon Lime Twist layer and then to the Azure Afternoon card front.
