Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Brilliant Wings Dies make a lovely pink butterfly birthday card

Pink Butterfly card

Here is a sweet pink butterfly birthday card made using the Butterfly Brilliance stamp set and Flowers For Every Season dsp.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pink butterfly card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded upper left corner
Flowers for Every Season dsp – 5¼” by 3½” – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White and Basic Black

Prior to designing this card I had stamped the Butterfly Brilliance stamp onto a panel of Basic White card in Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Stamparatus so that I could stamp the image a number of times to get a deep colour.

The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthdays stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Basic Black card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set using my Heat Tool. I fussy cut around the sentiment using sharp scissors and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Who doesn't love a donkey with a flower in his mouth for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Something New for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the first Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Something New’. If you have joined me from …. Blog, welcome. You are currently visiting Mo Rootes and I am near Cambridge in the UK. I have chosen to use the adorable Darling Donkeys stamp set to make my card.

To recreate the something new card, you will need:

Gray Granite card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner x 2 – one for the inside
Flowers For Every Season dsp – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Gray Granite – 4¼” by 2¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 4⅛” by 2⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White scrap

I began by gluing the panel of Flowers For Every Season dsp to one of the large panels of Whisper White using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I wrapped a piece of the lovely Gray Granite Shimmer Ribbon around the panel, adhering it on the back with Sellotape. The whole piece was then glued to the Gay Granite card base.
