A gorgeous butterfly themed flutter and fly card for a team challenge using Stampin' Up! product!

Flutter and Fly

Today I am sharing a sweet flutter and fly card made using the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I made this for a recent team challenge where our theme was ‘Flutter and Fly’

To recreate the flutter and fly card you will need

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” – Rounded lower left corner
Highland Heather – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded lower left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – Rounded lower left corner x 2
Scrap Whisper White

I began by using Post It Notes to mask off one of the panels of Whisper White card leaving a 1¼” strip exposed from top to bottom of the panel.

Starting from the bottom I applied Gorgeous Grape ink using a piece of Stampin’ Sponge. I moved on up the panel with Highland Heather ink applying less and less ink as I got nearer the top to give an ombre effect.

Keeping the Post It notes in place, I stamped the lovely leafy image from the Very Versaillles stamp set in Gorgeous Grape ink down the entire inked panel. The post Notes were then removed and the stamped panel added to the Highland Heather layer and then to the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive for both.

I used Memento Tuxedo Black ink to stamp one large butterfly and multiple small butterflies onto scrap Whisper White card. The butterflies came from the Butterfly Gala stamp set. I used the Butterfly Duet Punch to punch them out.

I used 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Highland Heather and Coastal Cabana inks to stamp the inner colour onto the butterflies. The butterflies were added to the card front with Glue Dots.

The sentiment from the Free As A Bird stamp set was stamped in Highland Heather ink onto scrap Whisper White and trimmed out using Scissors. This was added to the card front with the liquid glue. I added some Basic Rhinestones to some of the butterflies to complete the card.

I hope you like it
