4 Christmas cards made for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop using the Leaves of Holly stamp set by Stampin' Up! and the one sheet wonder technique

Holly Leaves for the Ink. Stamp Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on. I have chosen to share a batch of holly leaves card made using the Leaves of Holly stamp set.

Colours used in these projects are:

To recreate the 4 cards holly leaves cards, you will need:

4 card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – I used Cherry Cobbler and Evening Evergreen
Layering pieces – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – 3 pieces – I chose Cherry Cobbler, Mint Macaron & Shaded Spruce
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” x 3
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 5 – 4 for the inside and one for the outside.
Scrap Basic White card

Using a circle from the Layering Circles Dies, I die cut 4 circles from the scrap Basic White card. I stamped the sentiment, from the Leaves of Holly stamp set in Evening Evergreen ink in the centre of each circle.

I used the same size die, placed it onto the 4 card fronts, drew around the inside to help me position the stamping.

The largest holly leaf was stamped over-lapping the pencil circle, the detailed image in Evening Evergreen and the infill image in Soft Succulent. The smaller holly leaf was then stamped in Shaded Spruce with the infill in Mint Macaron ink.

The berries were added next, the outline in Blackberry Bliss and the in-fill in Real Red ink. To fill out the foliage I stamped the sprig from the Christmas Season stamp set in Pear Pizzazz ink.

Two of the panels were then embossed using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder. One was added directly to a card front and the other mounted onto a co-ordinating layer before being glued to the card front. The remaining stamped panels were then glued to the remaining layers. 3 of the cards had a length of ribbon from my stash wrapped around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape.

I stamped the sprig image in Pear Pizzazz ink onto some of the sentiment circles and added them to the card front with either liquid glue or Dimensionals. I added a trio of Brushed Metallic Dots to complete the cards.

Metallic Holly Leaves card

Hello and welcome to the Metallics Blog op where we are sharing, surprize, surprize – projects made using Metallics. I have made a metallic holly leave card to share today.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the metallic holly leaves card, you will need:

Soft Sea Foam card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Vellum – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Silver Foil, Gold Foil & Copper Foil

Using the Fern 3D Embossing Folder, I embossed the piece of Vellum and adhered it to the Soft Sea Foam card base using Seal +, one strip in the centre of the card base where it would be hidden.

From Silver Foil card, I die cut the backing piece to put behind the holly leaves on the label. The label was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Using the Holly Berry Dies again, I die cut a large detailed holly leaf from Copper Foil and the smaller holly leaf form the Gold Foil and tucked them under the label, using Mini Glue Dots to hold them in place.
