Lemonade Card for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘Summer fun’ themed projects. In the Summer I love sitting in the garden, in the shade with a jug of freshly made lemonade to drink and have used this idea to create my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the lemonade card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Lemon Lolly card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Bright & Beautiful dsp – 3¼” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White, Old Olive & Misty Moonlight

Using a Blending Brush, I added Balmy Blue ink to the centre of the smaller panel of Basic White card. The strip of Bright & Beautiful dsp was then adhered to the right side of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The rug was die cut from scrap Misty Moonlight card and added to the panel using the same liquid glue. The whole panel was then glued to the Lemon Lolly panel

A length of 2022 – 2024 In Color Twine – I used the Starry Sky version – was wrapped around the whole piece and secured on the back using Sellotape. This piece was then mounted onto the Misty Moonlight card base.

The jug and two glasses from the So Refreshing stamp set were stamped on scrap Basic White card using Misty Moonlight ink. The infill images were added using Lemon Lolly ink and the pieces die cut using the So Refreshing dies.

The slices of Lemon were stamped in Daffodil Delight ink inside the jug image and a separate slice which was added to the top of one of the glasses. The outline of the lemons was stamped in Daffodil Delight ink and the infill lemons were stamped in 2nd generation Lemon Lolly ink. These were then die cut along with a selection of leaves from scrap Old Olive card using the same set of dies.

So Refreshing Floating Panel card for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing fun fold cards. Love fun folds and today I am sharing a floating panel card made using the So Refreshing stamp set and inspired by Susan Campfield – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cn3Lrs-aNu4.

The colours used in this card are:

To recreate the so refreshing card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 2 1/16” and 4⅛”
Stargazing dsp – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Stargazing dsp – 5⅝” by 1⅞” x 2
Basic White card – 5” by 3½”
Basic White card – 4” by 3”
Basic White card – 3” by 2” – scored at ¾”, 1½”, 2¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I folded and burnished the score lines on the Thick Basic White card base and glued the panels of Stargazing dsp to the card base.

Using the Scalloped Contour Dies, I die cut rectangles from 5” by 3½” and 4” by 3” panels of Basic White card. I trimmed off the left side of the larger rectangle. Using a Blending Brush, I added Berry Burst ink, lightly around the edges of both of the scalloped rectangles. The sentiment was then stamped at the top of the smaller rectangle in Berry Burst ink.

The outline of the jug was stamped in Pebbled Path ink onto scrap Basic White card and added the infill in Lemon Lime Twist ink. The glass was stamped next in Pebbled Path ink and added the infill using the same Lemon Lime Twist ink.

The outline limes, outline leaves and slice of lime were all stamped in Granny Apple Green ink and the infill of the leaves and limes in Lemon Lime Twist ink all on Basic White card.

The spray of flowers was stamped on scrap Basic White card, the stem and leaves in Granny Apple Green, outline flowers in Berry Burst ink and infill flowers in Bubble Bath ink. I stamped an extra flower and trimmed it out using Scissors.

The two scalloped rectangles were then decorated with all the die cut pieces.

The larger rectangle with the cut down side was then inserted onto the back panel. I didn’t do this correctly………. I didn’t actually watch Susan’s video to the end as I thought I knew what she had done……….. haven’t we all made that mistake. What I should have done was fold in the two outer pieces of the 3” by 2” panel and place them, folded side down, straddling the scoreline and adhering them with a strong adhesive. The rectangle panel should then be glued to the left had side.

The smaller rectangle is then added to the front piece with glue only on the left side.

The card was completed using a scattering of Festive Pearls.

Please hop along to share the inspiration created by my crafty friends.
