Four cards made for the Christmas Stampathon using the Merriest Moments stamp set and Merriest Frames dies and embossing folder

Merriest Moments for the Christmas Stampathon

I have been creating cards for the Christmas Stampathon and this month’s theme is to use flowers on our Christmas cards and to make a minimum of four. I used pretty Merriest Moments stamp set and co-ordinating Merriest Frames Dies & Hybrid Embossing Folder to make my cards.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate one merriest moment’s card, you will need:

Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam card and envelope
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 4⅛”
Scrap Basic White card

Using the Merriest Frames dies and the hybrid Embossing Folder I embossed and simultaneously die cut the gorgeous decorated frame from the large panel of Basic White card.

I then used the detailed outline die and the stitched rectangle die from the Merriest Frames dies to cut around the detailed foliage and the centre panel.

The sentiment, from the Joyful Flurry stamps set was stamped in Garden Green ink in the centre of the stitched rectangle. This was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the 2 parts of the poinsettia flower with Real Red ink onto scrap Basic White card. I also stamped the large and medium holly leaves in Garden Green ink, the leafy sprig in Soft Sea Foam ink and finally the pine spray in Smoky Slate ink. I then die cut everything.

The poinsettia flowers were shaped using my Bone Folder and the smaller one added on top of the larger one using a Mini Dimensional. The flower was then added to the card front with liquid glue. The leaves and sprigs were then tucked in around the flower.
