A Spring Stamp-a-Stack designed around the Rain or Shine designer series paper by Stampin' Up!

Rain or Shine Stamp-a-Stack

A couple of days ago I ran my first Stamp-a-Stack of the year with all the cards designed around the Rain or Shine designer Series Paper (dsp). This is such pretty paper and I love the Loose Daisy Embellishments which pair with it so beautifully.

Each attendee pack contains all the supplies necessary to make 2 each of the 10 cards I designed plus lots of extra to add to their crafty stash at home. It is a great day with lots of chat and great company.

Colours used in these cards are:

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – Three card designed for February’s Ocean themed classes using the Oceanfront, On the Ocean and Seaside Bay stamp sets and Dies.

We stamped the ‘sky’ in 2nd generation Balmy Blue ink onto the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card. The ‘sea image’ was stamped twice using Pool Party ink.

The ship from the On the Ocean stamp set was stamped in Starry Sky ink in the lower left corner, about ½” up from the bottom.

The diorama panels were glued together with liquid adhesive and then mounted onto the stamped panel on Dimensionals. The whole piece was then glued to the Pool Party card front. We tucked pieces of the spiky foliage, die cut from scarp Garden Green card using the On the Ocean Dies, between the layers of the diorama panels..

The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto the strip of Basic White card, trimmed down and added to the card front.

Card 2 – Sandpiper and Chick

Petal Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Crumb Cake – 5⅛” by 3⅜”

We stamped the ‘sky’ in 2nd generation Balmy Blue ink onto the 5” by 3¼” panel of Basic White card. The ‘sea image’ was stamped using Pool Party ink. The ‘sand’ was added in Crumb Cake ink, stamping three times to build up the layers.

We added grasses in Garden Green ink.

The large bird from the Seaside Bay stamp set, was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the 5½” by 3¾” piece if Basic White card. We added the trio of chicks to the panel of card using the same ink and die cut them using the Seaside Bay Dies.

The stamped panel was the glued to the Crumb Cake panel and then to the Petal Pink card front.

We used the darker brown tones from the Naturals Collection of Blends and Smoky Slate Blends to add texture to the head and wings of the large bird. Pool Party for the eye and Petal Pink for the shading on the belly/chest of the large bird and the chicks.

The large bird and one of the smaller birds were added to the stamped panel using Dimensionals.

Card 3 – Sandpiper Chicks on a Beach

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”

Ship at Sunset card for the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I am sharing a Ship at Sunset card made using the On the Ocean stamp set combined with the Oceanfront stamp set and a rainbow of colours.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the ocean card, you will need:

Pool Party card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

I inked up the bottom if the ‘sky’ image, from the Oceanfront stamp set, using Daffodil Delight ink. I turned the stamp and inked up the top with Polished Pink ink. I used a Sponge Dauber to add Pumpkin Pie ink where the colours join and stamped the image down, just above the midline of the smaller Basic White card.

Marbleous Waves card for the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Collaborations Waves of the Ocean Blog Hop where we are showcasing projects made using gorgeous this early release bundle. I have come up with a marbleous waves birthday card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the marbleous waves card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Simply Marbleous dsp – 5½” by 3”
Silver Foil – 5½” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 2⅛” by ¼”
Scrap Basic White card

I punched a 1” Circle from a Post It Note and placed it onto the panel of Basic White card. Using Blending Brushes, I added Balmy Blue ink to the panel, leaving it lighter in the centre. I added Night of Navy ink to add depth to the top of the panel.

The Post It mask was removed and Daffodil Delight ink added using a Sponge Dauber. The panel was glued to the Night of Navy panel using the same liquid glue. The birds were stamped in Night of Navy ink.

Using the Stamparatus, I stamped the wave image in Night of Navy ink onto the piece of Simply Marbleous dsp and fussy cut it out using my sharp Paper Scissors.

I used the co-ordinating Wave Dies; I die cut one of the detailed waves from the piece of Silver Foil. It was added over the fussy cut wave image using liquid glue. The whole piece was added to the blended panel on Dimensionals. The whole panel was mounted onto the Thick Basic White card base with Liquid Glue.

The pelican on the post was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the scrap Basic White card. It was die cut using the Wave Dies. I then trimmed around the posts as I didn’t want the thin white edge. I coloured in the image using the following Blends – Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight and Petal Pink. It was added to the edge of the card using Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. It was added to the card front with liquid glue.

A trio of Iridescent Rhine stones were added to complete the card.

Please hop on to see what my fellow demos have to share with us today.
