A lovely floral card for the CAS Colour & Sketches #309 colour challenge using the Painted Seasons stamp set

CAS Colours & Sketches #309 – Painted Seasons

Today I am sharing a sweet card made for the CAS Colours and Sketches #309 Challenge. I used the gorgeous Painted Seasons stamp set, can’t seem to get enough of this set at the moment. The challenge this time asked us to create a project using Daffodil Delight, So Saffron and Pear Pizzazz inks.

Making the CAS Colours & Sketches card

I began with a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” and randomly stamped the 2 flowers, 1 in Daffodil Delight and the other in So Saffron ink. I then stamped 2 of the leaf images in 1st or 2nd generation Pear Pizzazz ink. The small cluster of stars were then randomly added in So Saffron ink. Basically I used the stamps to make my own dsp.

Using the Detailed Trio Punch I rounded the upper left corner and mounted the panel onto a piece of Basic Gray cardstock with a rounded upper left corner using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I then wrapped a length of Daffodil Delight Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The whole panel was then added to a Pear Pizzazz card base with a rounded upper left corner.

Using my Bigshot and the Doily Builder dies I cut out the ring doily from Whisper White cardstock. I only wanted the centre piece and added the detailed ring to my stash. I stamped the sentiment from the Forever lovely stamp set onto the centre die cut in Pear Pizzazz ink. I added a portion of one of the large flowers at the bottom of the die cut using Daffodil Delight ink. The piece was then mounted using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, onto a Basic Gray circle, cut using the Layering Circle dies. The sentiment was then added over the ribbon on Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a Daffodil Delight ribbon bow using a Mini Glue Dot and glued on a scatter of Iridescent Sequins in yellow and green.

I stamped one of the flower images in Daffodil Delight ink and a leaf in Pear Pizzazz ink onto a piece of Whisper White cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” and adhered it to the inside of the card having rounded the upper left corner. The same images were then stamped on the front of a Whisper White Envelope.

I die cut a rectangle using the Rectangle Stitched dies and a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set was then added at the top of the rectangle with Granny Apple Green ink.

I added the die cut leaves behind the die cut flower using Mini Glue Dots to secure them in place. I added the whole topper piece to the lower right hand corner of the rectangular piece using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I placed the rectangular panel face down on my work top and added a strip of Snail down the centre. I then added the gorgeous reversible ribbon by zigzagging it from side to side adhering it to the strip of Snail Adhesive.

A gorgeous floral spray card made using the Painted Seasons stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Painted Seasons used for Team Training

Today I am sharing a card made as a Make and take project for our Team Training event and using the new Painted Seasons stamp set. This gorgeous stamp set is only available as one of the free Sale-a-Bration choices with a £90 order until the 1st – 31st March. It comes as a bundle with a gorgeous pack of designer series paper which I am not using today.

Making the Painted Seasons card

I started with a scarp piece of Whisper White cardstock. I inked up the stunning flower image with Poppy Parade ink and before stamping it down I added Cherry Cobbler ink in the centre and around the edges of the flower using a Sponge Dauber. This is a distINKtive syle stamp so looks very 3 dimensional when stamped and the added darker shade of red really enhances this look. I die cut the image using my Big Shot and the co-ordinating Four Seasons Framelit dies.

I placed my die cut flower onto a layer of Whisper White measuring 5⅛” by 3⅜”, inked up the larger leaf image with Mossy Meadow ink, moved the flower slightly and stamped the image down. I then stamped again without re-inking. I repeated this step on the other side of the flower. The smaller leaf image was then added in 1st and 2nd generation Sahara Sand ink. I then added the little clusters of tiny stars in 1st and 2nd generation Mint Macaron ink.

I wrapped a piece of retired Mossy Meadow Thick Baker’s Twine around the stamped layer and tied in a bow. I had planned to use the lovely Old Olive Linen Thread but couldn’t find it………..

I rounded the upper left corner of the stamped layer and a layer of Poppy Parade cardstock measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” using the Detailed Trio Punch and adhered the two layers together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I used the same adhesive to add this panel to a Mossy Meadow card base with a rounded upper left corner. The die cut flower was then added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Needle and Thread stamp set was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink. I stamped the flower and the larger leaf onto a panel of Whisper White (with a rounded upper left corner) and added this to the inside of the card. The same images were then stamped on a Whisper White Envelope.

I love this stamp set, the images are absolutely stunning……don’t miss out.
