The So Many Snowflakes dies, border dies and Simply Elegant dsp by Stampin' Up! used for a pretty Christmas card

Pretty Snowflakes card

Here is a pretty snowflakes card made using the So Many Snowflakes Dies and some of the lovely Simply Elegant designer Series Paper.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the pretty snowflakes card, you will need:

Basic White – 5⅞” by 3¾”
Simply Elegant dsp – 5⅞” by 2½”
Basic White 3” by 1”
Scrap Pool Party, Misty Moonlight & Fresh Freesia

Using the Basic Border Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I die cut a decorative border from the panel of Basic White card. This die cut piece was then embossed using the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I added the strip of Simply Elegant dsp to the Thick Basic White card base. The die cut panel was then added using the same liquid glue.

I used the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the scrap Pool Party, Misty Moonlight and Fresh Freesia card to die cut a selection of the smaller snowflakes.

I laid the snowflakes along the die cut edge, allowing them to overlap and adhered them with the liquid glue. I covered the snowflakes with Clear Wink of Stella to add a little shimmer.

The sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set was stamped onto the ½” strip of Basic White card in Misty Moonlight ink. I added a small border of Pool Party card and added the piece to the card front on Dimensionals.

Christmas Mountain Air for the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamp ‘n Hop Blog Hop where we are showcasing our favourite bundle. My favourite bundle is the gorgeous and so versatile Mountain Air stamp set and Majestic Mountain Die and I have created a Christmas Mountain Air card. I have used the stamps for my card today and paired it with the So Many Snowflakes Dies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Christmas Mountain Air card, you will need:

Pool Party base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Misty Moonlight card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 2
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Taking one of the smaller panels of Basic White, I stamped the detailed mountains in Misty Moonlight ink. I reversed the stamp, inked it again with Misty Moonlight ink, stamped off twice onto scrap paper before stamping it over the detailed mountains.

I inked the detailed trees with Shaded Spruce ink and stamped them below the mountains. I cleaned the stamped and inked it again in Pool Party and stamped it upside down below the trees to give the illusion of water.

Using a mask punched from a Post It Note with a ¾” Circle Punch, I added some Pool Party ink to the sky with a Blending Brush.

Using the So Many Snowflakes Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut out the centre from the other, identically sized, Basic White panels.

I stamped the sentiment from the Poinsettia Petals stamp set in Misty Moonlight ink and the bottom of the die cut panel. The panel was then added onto the stamped and inked panel with Dimensionals. The whole piece was added to the Misty Moonlight panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

To finish the card, I added a trio of Elegant Faceted Gems.

I hope you like it. Please hop on to see what the lovely Karen Egan has to share with us today
