House in the Trees card

Here is a pretty card made using the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes and the Rings of Love dsp both available with a £45 order from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure until the end of this month. I have made a house in the trees card.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the house in the trees card, you will need:

Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards
Night of Navy card – 4¼” by 1⅝”
Rings of Love dsp – 4¼” by 1½”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Scrap Ring of Loves dsp, Basic White & Night of Navy

I used Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive; I glued the strip of dsp to the Night of Navy panel. The strip was then glued to the card front.

The trees from the Peaceful Deer stamp set were stamped on the circle using Old Olive ink. I added the sky with Balmy Blue in and a Blending Brush. The ground was added with another Blending Brush and Old Olive ink. I added the stamped circle to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Cottage Wreaths stamp set was stamped, in Old Olive ink onto the scrap Basic White card and trimmed it down and flagged the ends. I backed it with a scrap of Night of Navy card and tucked it under the circle.

The stitched square was die cut from the 2½” by 2½” piece of Basic White card. Actually, this one was left over from a previous project……….waste not want not.

I positioned the stitched square on the front of one of the Pool Party & Soft Suede card fronts, moved it aside and stamped sone leaves so that they would appear to be poking out from underneath.

I managed to get a little ink splotch further over so added another branch and leaves to cover that up.

The wooded sign was stamped in second generation Soft Suede ink and the sentiment added on top in full strength Soft Suede. The sign was then trimmed out using Scissors.
