Using a scrap of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the candles. I find it easier to line up the stamps if I start with the patterned stamp. I stamped the striped candle in Granny Apple Green ink. The spotted candle was stamped with Blueberry Bushel ink and the second striped candle in Calypso Coral ink. I then added the solid background layer to the candles in 2nd generation Lemon Lime Twist ink, 2nd generation Balmy Blue ink and 2nd generation Grapefruit Grove ink. The flames were stamped in Mango Melody ink.

I stamped the sentiment below the candles in Blueberry Bushel ink.

Using one of the Rectangle Stitched dies and my Big Shot I cut out the stamped image. The rectangle was actually too long so I moved the die to shorten the rectangle and ran it back through the Big Shot. I the cut the Blueberry Bushel panel ⅛” bigger on all sides using my Trimmer. These were adhered together with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I glued the Granny Apple Green, Grapefruit Grove, Blueberry Bushel strips to the card front and added the candle piece overtop on Dimensionals. The card was finished by adding a trio of Gingham Gala Sequins.

I stamped the candle inside the card and on the front of the envelope.

Such a simple card but so effective. I do hope you like it.

Painted Seasons for the GDP #177 Colour Challenge

Today I am sharing a card made for the Global Design Project – GDP #177 challenge using the stunning new Painted Seasons stamp set and co-ordinating Four Seasons dies. The challenge this week is to use the colours Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green.

Making the GDP#177 card

I began by stamping the gorgeous flower in Melon Mambo ink onto some scrap Whisper White cardstock. I added three of the leaf fronds to the scrap piece using Granny Apple Green ink and die cut all of the images using the Four Seasons dies and my Big Shot.

I die cut a rectangle using the Rectangle Stitched dies and a piece of Whisper White cardstock. This was mounted onto a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock measuring 3¾” by 2⅝” using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The sentiment from the Forever Lovely stamp set was then added at the top of the rectangle with Granny Apple Green ink.

I added the die cut leaves behind the die cut flower using Mini Glue Dots to secure them in place. I added the whole topper piece to the lower right hand corner of the rectangular piece using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I placed the rectangular panel face down on my work top and added a strip of Snail down the centre. I then added the gorgeous reversible ribbon by zigzagging it from side to side adhering it to the strip of Snail Adhesive.

I added Stampin Dimensionals to the back of the whole piece and added it to the front of a Thick Whisper White card base. I then stamped some of the clusters of stars using Coastal Cabana ink. To finish the card front I added a trio of the lovely Glitter Enamel Dots.
