Seasonal Thankful card for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is ‘thanks and gratitude’. I have made a really pretty card using the Cheers to the Season stamp set and the All About Autumn designer series paper (dsp)

Colours in this card are:

To recreate the seasonal thankful card, you will need:

Copper Clay card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Pretty Peacock card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
All About Autumn dsp – ¼” strips a minimum of 5” long x 7
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued all the strips of All About Autumn dsp to the smallest piece of Basic White and trimmed off the excess.

The By the Bay designer series paper and the Adorable Owl stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a sweet card

Owl on a Striped Background

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on recently. I have used more of the strips of By the Bay dsp left over from class preparation to make a sweet birthday card using the Adorable Owls stamp set.

Colours used in this card are:

To recreate the striped sympathy card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅞” by 3”
Night of Navy card – 6” by 1½”
Night of Navy – 6” by ½”
Basic White card – 3¾” by 3”
Night of Navy strip of card – ⅜” wide
By the Bay dsp strips a minimum of 4½” long and of varying widths

I applied strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive to all 4 sides of the 5⅞” by 3” piece of Basic White card. The backing from the adhesive tape was removed and I began laying the strips of By the Bay dsp from top to bottom, making sure to over-lap the top and the bottom. I continued with this until the panel was completely covered.

The excess dsp was then trimmed off using sharp scissors. A length of Soft Succulent Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape.

The ½” strip of Night of Navy card was glued to the top of the striped panel. I ran the 1½” strip of Night of Navy through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with one of the Basic Borders Dies and adhered the resulting decorative edge to the bottom of the striped panel. The whole piece was then added to the Thick Basic White card front with liquid glue.

I used the Layering Diorama Dies to cut out a label form the 3¾” by 3” panel of Basic White card and stamped the owl onto it with Soft Suede ink. The following Blends Pens were used to colour in the image – Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron. Balmy Blue & Petal Pink. The coloured piece was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark ink onto the strip of Night of Navy card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set. I cut the words apart and added them to the card front.

Mosaic Technique card for the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampin’ Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing projects made using scraps. I have chosen to share the mosaic technique and scraps of Hand Penned dsp. This card was inspired by a video I saw recently on Youtube by Brigit of Kreativ Stempel

Colours in this project are:

To recreate the mosaic technique card, you will need:

Pale Papaya card base – 8¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic Black card – 5¼” by 3½”
Misty Moonlight card – 5¼” by 3½”
Hand Penned dsp – rectangles cut at 5¾” by 4” – you need 3 – 4
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Scrap Basic Black & Basic White

I cut each of the rectangles of dsp on the diagonal into triangles. You need about 6 triangles for this card. Choose card stock where the colours work well together.

Each triangle was glued onto the Misty Moonlight panel leaving a tiny border between each piece. The excess was trimmed off.

I placed the dsp panel on the trimmer with the short side at the top and cut it down into ⅜” strips. The strips were then mixed up and glued onto the smaller Basic Black panel, again leaving a tiny gap between the strips. Cut off the excess and use these pieces to fill in the last couple of rows.

The whole piece was then glued to the larger Basic Black panel. I wrapped a strip of Black, Organdy Glittered Ribbon around the panel and adhered it on the back with Sellotape, The whole piece was the added to the Pale Papaya card base with liquid glue.

The sentiment from the Artfully Layered stamp set was stamped on scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Tailored Tag Punch. I punched out a Basic Black tag, cut it in half and added it to the back of the sentiment with a little showing top and bottom. The tag was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

I die cut some leaves from scrap Basic Black card using the Bloom Dies and tucked them behind the tag. A trio of Black Matte Dots completed the card.

Such a cool card, I hope you like it. You can also make a card just using the triangle pieces of dsp.
