I began by stamping the small cluster of stars and snowflakes on a scrap of Petal Pink card before using the Playful Alphabet dies to cut out the BABY. The letters were glued to the smaller Basic White panel. I added the ‘hello’ from the Biggest Wish Stamp set in Calypso Coral ink to the panel.

The balloon strings were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and the balloons added in Petal Pink ink. I added a trio of Calypso Coral hearts around the balloons.

A trio of Elegant Faceted Dots was added to complete the card. I made another card but reversed the colours.

Mountain Diorama for the Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share it Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing a project we have been working on. I have been playing with the new Diorama Dies this week and have come up with this sweet card using the Beauty of Friendship and Mountain Air stamp sets.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Mountain Diorama card, you will need:

Thick Basic White – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Soft Succulent – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Misty Moonlight – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Scrap Soft Succulent

I placed the smaller of the dies I planned to use on the Basic White panel to give an idea of positioning – you could draw around it with a pencil. I them stamped the tree from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set in Early Espresso ink. I stamped the ground image using Soft Succulent ink.

Next, I stamped the detailed mountains in Misty Moonlight ink and added the mountain shadow in Misty Moonlight which I had stamped off twice to give a lighter shade.

The tree line was stamped in Soft Succulent ink at the base of the mountains. I reversed the stamp and stamped it again upside down in 2nd generation ink.

I added a Post It Circle punched out using the 1” Circle Punch to the panel and used a Blending Brush to add Balmy Blue ink to my sky area. I then added Pool Party ink to the ground area using the Blending Brush. I added some definition to the tree using my White Chalk Marker.

The diorama pieces were cut from the Misty Moonlight and Soft Succulent layers. The Misty Moonlight was then added to the stamped piece with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The Soft Succulent layer was then added over the top on Dimensionals. The whole piece was added to the Thick Basic White card front using the liquid glue.

At this point I thought about a sentiment and choose to use part of a sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set. If I had thought about it before I would have stamped it directly onto the Soft Succulent panel…….. I ended up stamping it in Misty Moonlight ink onto a scrap or Soft Succulent card and fussy cutting it out. It was added with liquid glue.

I really, really like this card. I hope you like it.
