A Silhouetted Meadow birthday card for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Silhouetted Meadow for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is Annual Catalogue pre-order. I have chosen to use the gorgeous Meadow Dies to make a pretty silhouetted meadow birthday card.

Colours used to make this project are:

To recreate the Silhouetted Meadow card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4 – Rounded upper left corner
Basic Black – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – Rounded upper left corner x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Basic Black

I took one of the Basic White panels and added ink using a Blending Brushes. I began in the centre with Pale Papaya ink. I start by inking up the brush, then tapping off the excess before adding the ink to the panel in circular movements.

Next, I added Polished Pink end finishing with Misty Moonlight ink. I love the effect this gives, so vibrant. The inked panel was then added to the Basic Black layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using the stunning Meadow Dies and the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine I cut out a selection of the flower shapes from scrap Basic Black card.

I squeezed a small amount of Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive onto my Silicon Mat and used a piece of Sponge to add the glue all over the back of the die cuts. They were then added to the inked panel. The panel was mounted on the Polished Pink card base with liquid glue.

The sentiment from the Hey Birthday Chick was stamped on a scrap of Basic Black card in Versamark ink. I covered it in White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool. It was trimmed out using Scissors.

I added a strip of Seal + to the back of the sentiment and adhered a strip of Glittered Organdy Ribbon. The sentiment was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. I added a trio of the new 2021-2023 In Color Jewels to complete the card.

I hope you like it.

Please hop on to see what the lovely Deb Naylor has to share with us today.

A clubhouse sunset birthday card featuring a silhouetted golfer and made suing Stampin' Up! product

Clubhouse Sunset

Today I am sharing a gorgeous Clubhouse Sunset card made using the golfer from the lovely Clubhouse stamp and the baby swipe technique as described by Barry and Jay of Mitosu Crafts.

To recreate the Clubhouse Sunset card you will need;

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic Black – 4⅝” by 3 ¾”
Whisper White – 4 ½” by 3⅝”
Scrap Whisper White

The small panel of Whisper White was coloured using the Baby Swipe technique. I folded a baby wipe in half and placed it on an I block. I added 3 drops of Pineapple Punch re-inker, 3 drops of Grapefruit Grove re-inker, 3 drops of Real Red re-inker, 3 drops of Granny Apple Green and 3 drops of Blueberry Bushel re-inker. I smudged them together using the edge of a smaller block then swiped the baby wipe, wrapped around the I block across the card stock panel. This gives such a cool effect. I set the panel to one side to dry.

When the panel was dry I adhered it to the Basic Black layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was added to the front of the Thick Whisper White card base using the same adhesive.

I stamped the golfer in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto scrap Whisper White card The image was then die cut using the Golf Club Dies. I trimmed off all of the white edge using my sharp scissors.

Using the Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to colour in the golfer. He was added to the card front on Black Dimensionals. The white gap between his raised arm and his head was coloured using Grapefruit Grove ink and a Blender Pen.

I stamped the sentiment from the Label Me Bold stamp set in Momento Tuxedo Black ink. I used the Stamparatus as I knew I wanted the image to be really dark and that I would would require repeat stamping. The sentiment was then trimmed out using my scissors.
