Hello and welcome to the Funky Folds Blog Hop where I am sharing an Autumn leaf overlay card featuring the Elegant Leaves stamp set and dies with the Lovely Blossoms designer series paper (dsp).

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the relaxing chair card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 5⅞”” by 5⅛ scored on the short-side at 4⅛”
Thick Basic White – 4⅛ by 3⅛”
Basic White – 3¼” by 3”
Lovely Blossoms dsp – 5¾” by ⅞”
Lovely Blossoms dsp – 4” by 1¼” x 2
Scrap Basic White

I stamped the smallest detailed leaf on both pieces of Lovely Blossoms dsp measuring 4” by 1¼” using Old Olive ink. The three pieces of dsp were then glued to the Thick Basic White card base. The long thin piece along the top flap and the two shorter, squatter ones on either side.

I embossed the 3¼” by 3” piece of Basic White card using the Lovely Stripes Embossing Folder and glued the embossed piece to the 4⅛ by 3⅛” panel of Thick Basic White card with a small border around both sides and the bottom. It won’t reach the top of the panel, and this is intentional.

The embossed piece was then placed onto the card base with the top tucked up under the top flap. I added glue to the top of the embossed panel and folded the top over.

I inked up the large, detailed leaf with Darling Duckling ink and added both Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive inks with Sponge Daubers. I then stamped it down on scrap Basic White card. I also stamped the smallest detailed leaf with Cherry Cobbler ink. Both these images were then die cut.

The smaller leaf was glued to the larger leaf and a length of retired Old Olive Twine was wrapped around the stems and tied in a bow. The leaves were then added to the embossed card front on Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Meadow Dies coloured with Sponge Daubers to make a stunning thank you card

Colorful Meadow for the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing a colouring technique. I have made a lovely Colorful Meadow card using the Meadow Dies. You are currently with Mo Rootes from near Cambridge in the UK.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the colourful meadow card, you will need:

Smoky Slate card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4 ⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Poppy Parade – 5” by 3 ¼” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – Rounded upper left corner
Basic White – 5½” by 3¾” – Rounded upper left corner
Scrap Basic White

Taking the smaller Basic White panel and the spotty stamp from the Quiet Meadow stamp set I randomly stamped in Smoky Slate ink. I die cut a number of the Meadow Dies from scrap Basic White.

Using Sponge Daubers, I added colour to each flower. I used Old Olive and Just Jade inks for the stems and leaves.  The larger flower was coloured using Poppy Parade and Cherry Cobbler and the smaller flower coloured with Bumblebee and Poppy Parade. I dabbed the colour on and carefully and lightly sponged it over the die cut taking care not to bend or tear the fragile die cut pieces.

The flowers were added to the stamped background using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive which I applied using my Silicon Mat and a piece of Sponge.

The stamped layer was added to the Poppy Parade layer with the same liquid glue. I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the layers tying it in a bow. The panel was then mounted onto the Smoky Slate card base on Dimensionals.

I stamped a sentiment from the Hydrangea Haven stamp set in Poppy Parade ink onto scarp Basic White card. I die cut it using the sweet little label from the Meadow Dies and added it to the card front.

To finish the card, I added a trio of Red Rhinestones.
