Splish Splash Whale for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Splish Splash’ – such fun. I have chosen to make a sweet card splish, splash whale card using the Whale Builder Punch and Whale done stamp set.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the splish, splash whale card, you will need:

Just Jade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅜” by 3¾”
Expressions in Ink dsp – 5¼” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Scrap Basic White

I inked the seaweed stamp with Just Jade ink and added a little Misty Moonlight ink with a Sponge Dauber before stamping onto the piece of Expressions in Ink dsp.

Stacked Ice Cream Cone for the Stamping INKspirations Blog Hop

You are joining me today for the Stampin INKspirations blog hop where our theme is ‘birthdays’. It is my birthday later this month and with this in mind I have made a sweet stacked Ice Cream cone card using the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set and the Ice Cream Builder punch……..love a punch

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate this stacked ice cream card, you will need:

Crumb Cake – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Dandy Garden dsp – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Crumb Cake – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner
Very Vanilla – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Dandy Garden dsp – 6” by ⅜” x 2
Scrap Fluid 100 & Soft Suede

Using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Tasteful Textiles embossing folder I embossed the panel of Crumb Cake card stock. I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the 2 strips of dsp across the front of the panel and trimmed off the overhang.

I stamped the ice cream scoop from the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set onto scrap Fluid 100 water color paper using 2nd generation Calypso Coral, Mint Macaron and So Saffron inks. Using one of the water painters I coloured over the stamped scoops to blend the ink a little.

I stamped the cone in 2nd generation Cinnamon Cider ink adding the waffle marks in full strength Cinnamon Cider ink. The scoops and cone were then punched out using the Ice Cream Builder Punch. I added the scoops one on top of the other using Mini Glue Dots and glued them to the cone in the same way.

I stamped the ‘flake’ in Sot Suede ink onto Soft Suede card and trimmed it out using scissors. It was added to the cone of ice cream with a Mini Glue Dot. The whole piece was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto Soft Suede card, covered with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I trimmed it out with Scissors. I added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

Yum, looks good enough to eat. I hope you like it.
