The Celebrate Sunflower stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to make a card for the Stamping Inkspirations Sketch Challenge Blog Hop

Sunflower card for the Stamping Inkspirations Bog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we have a sketch to work with. I have used the pretty Celebrate Sunflower stamp set to make my card.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the sunflower card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
So Saffron card – 5¾” by 4”
Sun Prints dsp – 4½” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Soft Suede

I began by tearing the piece of Sun Prints dsp into 2 pieces keeping the edges jagged.

Taking the small pair of leaves, I stamped down the centre of the So Saffron panel with So Saffron ink to give a little interest to the background. The torn pieces of dsp were then adhered to the So Saffron layer leaving the stamped area on view,

The small sunflower was stamped in Old Olive ink onto scarp Basic White card along with 2 sets of the small leaves. These were coloured using the following Blends Alcohol Pens – So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive & Soft Suede.

I die cut a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies and glued the coloured flower onto it. The spare leaves were then tucked around the flower. I added the circle to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Ringed with Nature stamp set was stamped in Versamark ink onto scrap Soft Suede card. I then covered the stamped sentiment with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. I trimmed the cardstock down and flagged the ends with scissors before adding it to the card front.

A trio of Glossy Dots completed the card.

I hope you like it. Please continue around the hop to see what my crafty friends have done with the sketch.

A pretty Winter foliage card made for the Stamping Inkspirations picture challenge using Stampin' Up!

Leaves of Holly card for the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop where we are sharing projects inspired by two weather related photographs, one Winter and one Summer. I chose the Winter picture as my inspiration and used the Leaves of Holly stamp set.

The Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the holly card, you will need:

Soft Succulent card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Evening Evergreen card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right & lower left corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper right & lower left corner
Basic White card – 3” by 1½”
Soft Succulent card – 3” by 1½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right & lower left corner – for the inside

The sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set was stamped on the smallest piece of Basic White card in Early Espresso ink. The sentiment was then die cut using the Seasonal Labels Dies. I die cut the same label from the small Soft Succulent piece, cut it in half and glued it either end of the sentiment label.

I stamped the two large holly leaves, from the Leaves of Holly stamp set, in the upper left and lower right corners. I decided it was easier to line up the images if I stamped the solid image first – in Soft Succulent ink – followed by the more detailed image in Evening Evergreen.

I added the pinecones, from the Christmas Season stamp set, in Sahara Sand ink for the solid image and second-generation Early Espresso for the detailed image.

The berries were stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink, second generation for the solid and full strength for the detailed image. The sprig from the Christmas To Remember stamp set was stamped in Soft Succulent ink. The stamped panel was then glued to the Evening Evergreen layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The same glue was used to add the panel to the Soft Succulent card base.
