Basic Black – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Artisan Sketched Garden dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Golden Glow – 3¾” by 2½”
Basic White – 3¾” by 2⅜”

A special birthday card made using the Wild Bunch stamp set and the Mixed-up Patterns designer series paper from Stampin' Up!

Wild Bunch Fun Fold Card

Here is a pretty, fun fold card made using the Wild Bunch stamp set for a friend’s special birthday.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the wild bunch fun fold card using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 10” by 5” scored at 5” on the long side
Mixed-up Patterns dsp – 4¾” by 4¾” x 3
Secret Sea – 2⅝” by 2⅝”
Basic White – 2½” by 2½”
Flirty Flamingo – 3½” by 1¼”
Thick Basic White – 10” by 1½” – fold in half on the long side then fold each half in half again
Secret Sea – 2¼” by 2¼” x 3
Basic White – 2⅛” by 2⅛” x 3
Scrap Flirty Flamingo

I began by gluing the 3 panels of Mixed-up Patterns dsp to the Thick Basic White card base measuring 10” by 5”, one on the front and the remaining 2 panels on the inside.

The highland cow was stamped on the larger Basic White square using Secret Sea ink. I used Petal Pink and Crumb Cake Blends Pen to colour in the cow. A Soft Sea Foam Blends Pen added some ‘ground’ and I used a Blending Brush and Balmy Blue ink to give the illusion of sky. The decorated panel was then glued to the larger Secret Sea square. I die cut the largest banner from the strip of Flirty Flamingo card using the Stylish Shapes Dies.  The die cut banner was cut in half and added to either side of the decorated panel. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped one animal on 3 of the smaller pieces of Basic White card. The snail was coloured with Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo Blends Pens. The Koala was coloured with Gray Granite, Petal Pink and the penguin with Secret Sea and Daffodil Delight.

I mounted the panel on the remaining Secret Sea square and then added it to the long strip.

An ombre, gingham leaf themed thank you card made using the new Simply Leaves stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Simply Leaves Card

I am a sucker for a leaf stamp and really enjoyed making this simple ombre card using the Simply Leaves stamp set which will be available from my online shop from July. It was inspired by a card I saw made by Janice Thompson of JazzleDazzleCrafts.

Colours used in making this card are:

I created the untouched landscapes card using the following supplies:

Hydrangea Hue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Misty Moonlight – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White – 5¼” by 3½”
Misty Moonlight – 2” by 2”
Basic White – 1½” by 1½”
Basic White -5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using Hydrangea Hue ink I stamped a line of leaves, one above the other from the top to the bottom of the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The new Simply Leaves stamp set used to make an ombre, gingham leaf themed thank you card

I added a row of leaves in the gaps to the right-hand side using Balmy Blue ink and a final row of leaves to the left with Misty Moonlight ink to the right. The stamped panel was adhered to the layer of Misty Moonlight card.

I coloured a piece of White Baker’s Twine using a Dark Misty Moonlight Blends Pen. When it was dry (it takes a couple of minutes) I wrapped it around the whole piece before gluing the panel to the Hydrangea Hue card front.

From the squares of Misty Moonlight and Basic White card I die cut stitched circles using the Stylish Shapes dies. The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink onto the Basic White circle which was then glued to the Misty Moonlight circle. The whole piece was then mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Cards made for the Christmas Stampathon sketch challenge using the Snowy Scenes designer series paper used and the Trees for Sale stamp set from Stampin' Up!

Snowy Scenes Cards – Christmas Stampathon

For the May Christmas Stampathon we have a sketch to inspire us. I have the retired Snowy Scenes designer series paper to make my cards.

Colours in these cards are:

I created the snowy scenes cards using the following supplies:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Basic White – 5½”by 3¾”
Pool Party – 4 by 2½”
Basic White – 4” by ⅝”
Scrap Snowy Scenes dsp

I embossed the Basic White panel using the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. I wrapped a length of Pool Party Twine around the panel, adhering it on the back with Sellotape before gluing the whole piece to the Thick Basic White card front.

Three cards made for my May 2026 classes using the Help Me Grow stamp set and co-ordinating dies and the Lovely Blossoms dsp from Stampin' Up!

Help Me Grow Classes

Today I am sharing the cards I designed for my May classes using the gorgeous Help Me Grow stamp set and co-ordinating dies.

Colours used to make these cards are:

Overlay Fun Fold Card

Thick Basic White card base – 5⅞”” by 5⅛ scored on the short-side at 4⅛”
Thick Basic White – 4⅛ by 3⅛”
Basic White – 3¼” by 3” – embossed using Lovely Stripes Folder
Lovely Blossoms dsp – 5¾” by ⅞”
Lovely Blossoms dsp – 4” by 1¼” x 2
Scrap Basic White, Calypso Coral, Old Olive, Gray Granite & Silver Foil

The three pieces of Lovely Blossoms dsp were glued to the Thick Basic White card base. The long thin one along the top flap and the two shorter, squatter ones on either side.

We glued the embossed piece to the 4⅛ by 3⅛” piece of Thick Basic White card with a small border around both sides and the bottom. It won’t reach the top of the panel, and this is intentional.

On scrap Basic White card, we stamped the tiny cluster of flowers with Pool Party ink and added the leaves around the image with Old Olive ink and die cut the piece out. From the piece of Silver Foil, we die cut the trowel and adhered it to the handle. The tool was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.
