The Calming Camellia stamp set by Stampin' Up! used to made a softly, pretty floral card

Calming Camellia

Today, I have been playing with the gorgeous Calming Camellia stamp set which is free with a £275 order. I love these textured floral stamps as you can get fantastic results with minimal supplies.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the calming camellia card, you will need:

Early Espresso card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Calypso Coral card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Basic White card – 3” by 2½”
Early Espresso card – 3” by 2½”

I inked up the large floral stamp with Petal Pink ink, added Calypso Coral ink around the edge and in the centre and stamped it onto one of the larger Basic White layers. I repeated these steps until the whole panel was covered by the image.

The small ‘swirl’ image was stamped in Calypso Coral ink to fill in any white spaces and to add a depth of colour. The stamped panel was then glued to the Calypso Coral layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

A length of the pretty Petal Pink Organdy Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The panel was the glued to the Early Espresso card front.

The sentiment from the Flowing Flowers stamp set was stamped in Calypso Coral ink onto the small panel of Basic White card. This was then cut out using my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine and the Tasteful Labels Dies. I cut a second label from the small piece of Early Espresso card. I cut the label from top to bottom and added it to both sides of the stamped label using liquid glue. It was added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Pansy Petals designer series paper combined with the In Bloom dies to make a pretty flowers in bloom card

Flowers In Bloom card

Today I ‘ve been playing with the Pierced Bloom dies, haven’t had these out for a while and I had forgotten how pretty these flowers are. I have made a pretty, flowers in bloom card.

The colours used in this project are:

To recreate the flowers in bloom card, you will need:

Thick Basic White – 5⅞” by 5⅜” – scored at 4⅓” on the 5⅜” side
Pansy Petals dsp – 5⅞” by 4⅓”
Pansy Petals dsp – 5⅞” by 1¼”
Scrap Basic White, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade & Evening Evergreen

Using the Basic Borders dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, I die cut the edge from the larger piece of Pansy Petals designer Series Paper (dsp). This makes such a cool card front.

I wrapped a piece of Evening Evergreen Open Weave Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape before adding the piece to the 1 ¼” card front flap with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I added the strip of the same Pansy Petals dsp to the inside of the card front. Love the dark green stripes against the Pale Papaya gingham.

Using the Pierced Bloom dies I cut a selection of flowers, flower centres and leaves from scrap card stock and spent a happy 15 mins putting together various combos before deciding on the look I wanted. I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the flowers together and to attach then to the card front.
