A pretty thank you card made using the Ornate Thanks and Tea Together stamp sets by Stampin' Up!

Tea Together Rose

Today I am sharing a sweet thank you card featuring the Tea Together Rose and the Ornate Thanks stamp set.

To recreate the Tea Together Rose card you will need:

Thick Whisper White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Mossy Meadow – 4⅝” by 3¾” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Whisper White 3½” by 2½”
Magnolia Lane designer series paper (dsp) – 4⅛” by 3⅝” – Rounded Upper Left corner
Scrap Mossy Meadow, Petal Pink & Early Espresso

I adhered the Magnolia Lane dsp to the Mossy Meadow layer and added the sentiment piece on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Early Espresso ink onto the small panel of Whisper White and die cut it out using the Sweetly Stitched dies.

I stamped one of the sweet flower images from the Tea Together stamp set, which is retiring at the beginning of June,  in Early Espresso ink and used the following Blends Markers to colour it in – Petal Pink combo and Mossy Meadow combo. The flower was added to the lower right corner.

Using the Leaf punch, which will no longer be available from the beginning of June, I punched a number of leaves from scrap Mossy Meadow card. I crumpled the leaves up to give them some texture then slid them in around the sentiment using Glue Dots.

I added strips of Early Espresso, Petal Pink and Mossy Meadow card to the right side of the decorated panel with liquid adhesive and added the whole panel to the card front with the same glue.

To complete the card I added a trio of Basic Rhinestones.

A lovely teapot themed Mother's day card

Tea Together for Mother’s day

Today I am sharing the sweet card I made for my lovely Mum for Mother’s Day using the gorgeous Tea Together stamp set and Tea Time framelit dies. My Mum loves a cup of tea so this stamp set was perfect for her card.

Making the card

I started by stamping the teapot in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a scrap piece of Thick Whisper White cardstock and die cutting it out using my Big Shot and the Tea Time dies. I used my Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green markers to ink up the small flower die in the set and stamped it on the bottom right of the tea pot. Using your markers to ink up stamps is a great way to easily add multiple colours to an image.

I used the Stampin’ Blends in the following colours to colour in the lid and the base of the teapot and the small flower image. The colours used were Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight and the colour lifter.

I chose a piece of Tropical Chic dsp and cut it to 3⅝” by 2”. I added the dsp to a panel of Whisper White measuring 5⅜” by 3⅝” using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. I die cut the ring shaped doily using the Doily Builder dies and added it with the Multipurpose glue to the Whisper White/dsp layer.

The die cut teapot was then added to the panel on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The sentiment from the same stamp set was stamped in Granny Apple Green in the upper left hand corner of the panel and the corner was rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch.

The panel was glued to a layer of Granny Apple Green cardstock measuring 5½” by 3¾” with Multipurpose glue before being added to a Flirty Flamingo card base. I added a Share What You Love Artisan Pearl to the flower centre.

I added a Whisper White panel to the inside of the card and decorated it with the small stamped flower. I added the same flower to a Whisper White Envelope.

I really love the simplicity of this card. I am sure my lovely Mum will love it.

Sweet card made for the Just Add Ink #440 Callenge using the Tea Time framelits and Tea Together stamp set.

Tea Together for the Just Add Ink #440 Challenge

Today I have used the Tea Together stamp set and co-ordinating Tea Time dies to make a card for the Just Add Ink #440 challenge. The theme this week is ‘add something new. The stamp set and dies were my new items and I used them with the Tropical Escape dsp and the Scallops embossing folder.

Making the card

I started by choosing a piece of the Tropical Escape dsp, and after a lot of trial and error went for the soft Blushing Bride floral pattern. I decided to use the Stamparatus to stamp the teapot image; I wanted the image to show on the dsp and with the Stamparatus I could stamp it multiple times to get the depth of colour I was looking for. I used Basic Gray ink to do my stamping. When the image was stamped I die cut it using my Big Shot and the Tea Time dies.

I chose a Smoky Slate card base and stamped the flower from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Smoky Slate ink randomly over the card front. The flower is the identical image to the flower on the piece of die cut dsp. The tone on tone stamping just gives some interest to the background.

Taking a panel of Whisper White cardstock 5⅜” by 3⅝” I ran it through the Big Shot with the Striped Scallops Embossing Folder and added it to the card front on Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added the die cut tea pot to the embossed panel with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I stamped the sentiment from the Balloon Celebrations stamp set in Blushing Bride and Smoky Slate onto scrap Whisper White cardstock before using the Banner Triple Punch to flag the end. I added a thinner strip of Blushing Bride cardstock behind and added the piece to the card front with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.  To finish the card I added a scattering of the gorgeous Share What You love Artisan Pearls.
