Gingham Umbrella

I saw a pretty gingham umbrella card on Pinterest and had to make it myself using the gorgeous gingham paper from the 2019 – 2021 In-color dsp in Terracotta Tile. The original card was made by fellow UK demonstrator Michelle Last

To recreate the Gingham Umbrella card you will need:

Terracotta Tile – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Cherry Cobbler – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5” by 3⅝” – rounded upper left corner
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 5⅜” – rounded upper left corner
2019 – 2021 In Color dsp – 5⅜” by ½”
Scrap dsp & Whisper White

I stamped the open and closed umbrella onto the Gingham dsp with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used a pre-punched template to make sure I had the stamps lined up perfectly so that I could punch the images out using the Umbrella Builder Punch.

I stamped the wellies onto the scrap Whisper White card and coloured them in using the Cherry Cobbler combo of Blends Markers. They were fussy cut using scissors.

I stamped the flowers onto the smaller Whisper White layer in the Memento ink and coloured them in using the Flirty Flamingo and Soft Sea Foam combo Blends Markers.

I added the strip of gingham dsp to the bottom of the stamped layer and glued the whole piece to the Cherry Cobbler panel. This was then glued to the Terracotta Tile card base.

I stamped the umbrella handle on the card front and added the closed umbrella with glue. The wellies were added on a Dimensional. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and added a scattering of Holiday Rhinestones.

Purple Brolly

Here is a sweet purple brolly card made using the gorgeous Under My Umbrella stamp set and co-ordinating Umbrella Builder Punch.

To recreate the purple brolly card you will need:

Sahara Sand card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Highland Heather – 4⅝ by 2¾”
Whisper White – 4½” by 2⅝”
Early Espresso – 4⅛” by ¼” x 4
Whisper White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – for the inside
Scrap Whisper White, Highland Heather & Early Espresso

I randomly stamped two of the groups of flowers from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Sahara Sand ink onto the smaller layer of Whisper White card. This panel was then adhered to the Highland Heather layer with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Taking the 4 strips of Early Espresso card stock I glued them to the Sahara Sand card front with the same adhesive. The flowery panel was then added over top using Dimensionals.
