Twisted Kintsugi Card – Share It Sunday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Share It Sunday Blog Hop where we are sharing projects we have been working on. My twisted Kinsugi card was inspired by Julie Davison – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GAaB4fg3Oq8 and I made it using the Inspiring Imperfections stamp set and dies with the Kintsugi Inspirations designer series paper (dsp) to make my version of Julie’s card.

Three Festive Friends Card – Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Stamping with Friends Blog Hop – 1

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are showcasing the power of 3’s. It is generally recognised in the art/craft world that odd numbers or things positioned to form triangles are very pleasing to the eye. I have made my card using the adorable Festive Friends stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the three festive friends card, you will need

Shy Shamrock card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅜”
Woven Textures dsp – 5⅞” by ⅜” x 3
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

The three strips of Woven Textures dsp were adhered to the bottom of the 5⅝” by 3⅜” panel of basic White card and adhered the whole piece to the Shy Shamrock card front.

I used the following Blends Pens to colour in the images. For the snowman elf I used Azure Afternoon, Shy Shamrock and Timid Tiger. For the elf I used Ivory, Shy Shamrock, Azure Afternoon, Pecan Pie and Secret Sea and for the Santa I used Ivory, Cherry Cobbler, Smoky Slate and Secret Sea.

The elf and the snowman were adhered directly to the card front and Santa added in the centre on Dimensionals. Using Secret Sea ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set along the bottom of the card front.

The tiny trio of snowflakes, from the Woodland Scenery stamp set were stamped, three times, around the Santa. A trio of Adhesive-backed Peppermints completed the card.

Three cute characters, 3 strips of dsp, 3 clusters of snowflakes and 3 peppermint embellishments. I think that met the brief…..

Please hop on to see what my fellow demos have created to share with us.
