Soft Seedlings for the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we have been given a sketch to work with today. I have used the Heart and Home designer Series paper which is retiring at the end of this month and the Soft Seedlings stamp set which will be available from the 1st July.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the soft seedlings stamp set, you will need:

Pear Pizzazz card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Heart and Home dsp – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Heart & Home dsp – 3¼” by 2⅛”
Basic White card – 3⅝” by 2⅜”
Parakeet Party card – 2⅛” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

Using the blade of my Scissors I roughed up the edges of the largest panel of Heart & Home dsp and added Garden Green ink with a Dauber to define the edge. The lower right corner was curled using a Bone Folder and the panel was glued to the Pear Pizzazz card base with Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

I inked the largest image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set with Pear Pizzazz ink and added Garden Green ink and Parakeet Party ink using Daubers. The image was stamped onto the small piece of Basic White card. I repeated this step to fill up the panel. The panel was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

Sea Themed Card For A Special Birthday

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where we are sharing fancy fold cards. My sea themed card was made for our niece’s special birthday and the theme reflects her love of the sea, swimming and diving.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Sea themed card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 11” by 5½” – scored on the long-side at 1¾”, 3½”, 5¼” by 7”
Starry Sky card – 5” by 3½” – scored on the long-side at 2½”
Starry Sky card – 5⅜” by 1⅝” x 2
Starry Sky card – 5⅜” by 3⅞”
Rings of Love dsp – 5¼” by 1½” x 2
Rings of Love dsp – 5¼” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 3⅜” by 2⅜” x 3
Scrap Silver Foil & Basic White

Using my Bone Folder, I burnished the score-lines of both scored panels of card and set the smaller Starry Sky piece to one side.

I glued the panels of dsp to the long panels of Starry Sky card using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The largest piece was then glued to the larger panel of the Thick Basic White card. I skipped a panel and added one of the long thin pieces to the next panel. The final panel was adhered to the outermost panel of the card front. With the smaller panels on your left, you should have a decorated panel on the first flap, third panel and fifth or back panel.

I die cut the numbers from the, sadly retired, Large Number Dies and added them to one of the stamped panels with liquid glue. I added a trio of birds in flight around the numbers. The sentiment, from the Go To Greetings stamp set, was stamped in Starry Sky ink onto scrap Basic White card, trimmed down with scissors and added to the panel.

Ink Pad Boxes for the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop where we are sharing 3 D projects. I am sharing the box I created to hold a Stampin’ Up! Ink pad. For every sixth class my customers attend they get to choose an ink pad of their choice and I decorate this box to match their colour choice.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the ink pad holder, you will need:

Basic White card – 11¼” by 5¼” – scored on the long-side at ¾”, 5 ¼”, 6” and 10½” and on the short-side at ¾” by 4½”
Designer Series Paper – 4¼” by 3½”
Soft Suede card – 2½” by 2½”
Basic White card – 2½” by 2½”
Scrap Basic White

I used my Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score the Basic White card as detailed above.

Pretty Pop Ups

Today I am sharing a pretty card made using the Pretty Pop-Ups Dies and coloured using a Blending Pen. I don’t actually own these dies but one of my lovely friends and customer Becky, bought them and allowed me to use the dies. This card is for her.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Pretty Pop-Ups card, you will need:

Pale Papaya card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4⅞” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside – rounded upper left corner

I placed the small, oval Pretty Pop-Ups Die onto the smallest piece of Basic White card and added the two individual butterflies and the dragonfly dies. These were all run through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Vintage Bottle card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Ink & Inspirations Blog Hop where we have been given a colour challenge. I have chosen to use one of the sets I pre-ordered from the July – December Mini Catalogue called Vintage Christmas. I do love a set that co-ordinates with something I already have and this set pairs with the Vintage Bottle Punch.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the Vintage Bottle card, you will need:

Melon Mambo card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored and folded at 4⅛”
Starry Sky card – 3¾” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 4” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 1½” by 1½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

I began by stamping the taller bottle with Starry Sky ink onto scrap Basic White card and punching it out using the Vintage Bottle Punch.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using Tahitian Tide ink, I stamped the smaller bottle onto the 4” by 2¾” panel of Basic White card. I placed the punched bottle overlapping the stamped bottle, for placement and stamped the trio of flowers in Melon Mambo ink.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using Parakeet Party ink, I stamped the single sprig around the flowers. I deliberately didn’t ink up the berries at the base of the sprig. The flower centres were added using the same ink. The tall bottle was then glued to the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The whole panel was then die cut using a Stitched Rectangle Die. The stitched rectangle was then glued to the Starry Sky panel.

A pretty floral card made using the pretty Vintage Christams stamp set for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Vintage Christmas stamp set used to make a pretty floral card for the Ink & Inspiration Blog Hop

Using the trio of flowers, I stamped in the upper left and lower right corners of the Melon Mambo card base using Melon Mambo ink. At this point I decided I needed more white in the background so I cut the 1½” square of Basic White card on the diagonal and added one triangle to the upper left corner and the other to the lower right corner of the stamped panel.

The stamped piece was then added to the card front on Dimensionals. The sentiment, from the Cup of Tea stamp set was inked up in Starry Sky ink and stamped onto scrap Basic White card. I then trimmed it out, flagging the ends before I added it to the card front.

We embossed the Smoky Slate panel using the Painted Textures Embossing Folder and added it to the Thick Basic White card base.

The 3 glasses were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card, The ‘wheat beer’ was added with Daffodil Delight ink, the bitter with Soft Suede ink and the wine with Merry Merlot…….obviously. These were die cut using the Brewed Dies.

We glued the strip of dsp to the bottom of the Basic White strip, added a row of bubbles in Smoky Slate ink across the top before adding the glasses with either liquid glue or Dimensionals. The piece was then added to the card front.

The ladies had a choice of sentiments which were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto Daffodil Delight card. We trimmed it down and tucked it under the decorated strip. A trio of Classic Matte Dots completed the card.

The strips of Basic Gray card were glued to the back of the dsp, the piece was then added to one of the Basic White panels. We wrapped a piece of White Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon around the strip before the whole panel was added to the Sweet Sorbet card base. The sentiment was stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink.

The three glasses were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card. We inked up the infill stamp with Daffodil Delight and added Sweet Sorbet ink to the bottom using a Sponge Dauber before stamping it inside one of the glasses. We re-inked the stamp with the Daffodil Delight and added Granny Apple Green to the bottom. For the wine glass, we inked up with Sweet Sorbet and added Blackberry Bliss to the bottom. These were then die cut.

The glasses were added to the Stitched Square and bubbles added with Smoky Slate ink. The square was the added to the card front. Classic Matte Dots completed the card.

We stamped the beer glass randomly – or as randomly as we felt comfortable with – all over the Basic Gray panel. The panel was the glued to the Basic Gray card base.
