Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing something we have been working on. The peacock and gold Christmas card I am showcasing today was made as an example using the Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set and dies.
To recreate the peacock and gold Christmas card, you will need:
Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5¼” by 3⅝” Season of Elegance dsp – 4¾” by 3½” cut in half at 2⅜” Season of Elegance dsp – 3½” by ½” Basic White card – 3¾” by 2½” Lost Lagoon card – 3¼” by 2¼” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” Scrap Basic White card
Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive I glued the three pieces of Season of Elegance designer series paper (dsp) to the Basic White panel measuring 5¼” by 3⅝” with the ½” strip in the middle.

A piece of Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the panel, secured on the back with Sellotape before it was glued to Lost lagoon card base.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – A peacock and gold Christmas card made using the Pine Tree Trimmings and Festive Friends stamp sets – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I used a Blending Brush to add Pretty Peacock ink to the small piece of Lost lagoon card. Ink was only added to the left side of the panel. When I had the colour depth I wanted, I stamped the open tree from the Pine Tree Trimmings stamp set in Pretty Peacock ink.

The baubles were stamped across the stamped tree image using Versamark ink. I covered the ink with Gold Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. The image was then die cut using the Pine Tree Trimmings Dies.

This adorable snowman that-a-way card was inspired by a video made by the Tatted Stamper showcasing the ‘that-a-way’ fun fold and I just had to try it using the pretty snowman from the Festive Friends stamp set.
To recreate the snowman that-a-way card, you will need:
Thick Basic Card Base – 11½” by 4” – scored at 5¼” Beautiful Bokeh dsp – 5½” by 3¾” Scrap Basic White and Granny Apple Green
With a pencil, lightly mark the card front at 2” on the short side then cut from the 2” mark to the centre scoreline on the right. Repeat the cut on the left side to leave a pointed card front. Place the 2 cut pieces together, face down, to form a triangle and use Sellotape to adhere the pieces together.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Festive Friends stamp set and dies used to make a pretty ‘that-a-way’ fun fold Christmas card
With a pencil, lightly mark the dsp panel at 1⅞” on the short side then cut from the mark to the centre scoreline on the right, repeat the cut on the left side. This will give 1 large triangle and 2 small triangles.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Festive Friends stamp set and dies used to make a pretty ‘that-a-way’ fun fold Christmas card
Glue the large triangle to the pointed card front. Place the 2 smaller pieces together, face down, to form a triangle and use Sellotape to adhere the pieces together.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Festive Friends stamp set and dies used to make a pretty ‘that-a-way’ fun fold Christmas card
Open the card and place the unattached triangle on the inside with the bottom of the triangle lined up with the right-hand end of the card, dsp side facing upwards. Add glue where the panels over-lap and close the card to adhere together
