Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing a technique of our choice. I have used the Petals of Beauty stamp set to make a pretty card showcasing the Faux Silk technique.
Colours used to make this card are:
To recreate the faux silk petals card, you will need:
Bubble Bath card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Blackberry Bliss card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Adhesive Sheet – 5” by 3¼”
White Tissue Paper – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
Using Bubble Bath ink, I randomly stamped the large, solid flower image, randomly all over the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card.

The smaller, detailed image was then randomly stamped all over the same layer with Blackberry Bliss ink. The Flower centres were added with Pretty Peacock ink.

To the stamped layer I added the 5” by 3¼” piece of Adhesive Sheet, covering the entire piece. I crumpled up the piece of White Tissue paper, opened it without smoothing it out too much and applied it to the sticky, stamped panel pressing it firmly into place and trimming off the excess. The whole panel was then adhered to the Blackberry Bliss layer.

A length of Faux Linen Ribbon was the wrapped around the 5⅜” by 3⅝” piece of Basic White card before being glued to the Bubble Bath card base.

The sentiment, from the Reason to Celebrate stamp set was stamped in Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock inks onto the strip of Basic White card. I flagged both ends and added it to the card front on Dimensionals.

A ribbon bow and a trio of retired Transparent Adhesive-backed Dots finished the card.
