Striped Rainbow card

I am sharing a pretty rainbow themed card today made using the gorgeous Sunshine & Rainbows dsp.

Colours in this project are:

 

To recreate the striped rainbow card. You will need:

Magenta Madness card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Bermuda Bay card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Sunshine & Rainbows dsp
Scrap Basic Black & Basic White

 

I embossed the smaller panel of Basic White card using my Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Speciality 3D Plate. The embossed panel was adhered to the Bermuda Bay layer with Multicoloured Liquid Adhesive…

The striped rainbow was die cut from a piece of the Sunshine & Rainbow dsp and the pieces added to the embossed panel, one at a time using the liquid glue. The whole piece was added on Dimensionals to the Magenta Madness card front.

The sentiment from the Many Messages stamp set was stamped using Versamark ink onto a scrap of Basic Black card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool. It was added to the card front with liquid glue.

I punched a white cloud from scrap card and added it to the card front with glue.

To complete the card, I added a trio of Holiday Rhinestones.

Glue the large piece of dsp to the back of the card
Glue one of the strips of dsp to the front panel
Die cut the rainbow from the centre of one of the scalloped rectangles
Rough cut a rainbow from the dsp and glue it to the back of the die cut rainbow
Glue the bottom of the rainbow to the front panel and add the 2nd scalloped rectangle to the back
Add the 2nd strip of dsp to the back of the card front
Add the Basic White strip to the bottom of the back panel
Punch the clouds from the dsp and scrap Basic White
Add your sentiment

Add the 2 Basic White panels to the card front on Dimensionals with about ¼” separating them

Kite Delight card

Here is a sweet card made using the Kite Delight stamp set with some of the gorgeous Sale-a-Bration Designer Series Papers.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the Rain Boots card, you will need:

Misty Moonlight card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Simply Marbleous dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Sunshine & Rainbows dsp – 5½” by 1”
Basic White card – 4” by 2”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Garden Green & Basic White

 

I glued the large panel of dsp to the large Basic White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. The piece was then added to the Misty Moonlight card front using the same glue.

I die cut the tag from the small piece of Basic White card using the Tailor-Made Tags Dies. The sentiment from the Kite Delight Stamp set was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink at the bottom of the tag.

The kite was stamped on scrap Basic White card using Magenta Madness ink and was fussy cut using Scissors. The kite string was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on the die cut tag. I used Blends Markers to colour in the bows on the string and the stripes on the kite.

The decorated tag was the added to the card front on Dimensionals. I added a trio of Artistry Blooms Sequins to complete the card.

A robot themed greetings card made using the Nuts & Bolts stamp set and Plenty of Patterns Masks by Stampin' Up!

Greetings Humans

I have had such fun playing with the cute and quirky Nuts and Bolts stap set and have combine it with the Plenty of Patterns Masks to make a greetings card.

To recreate the greetings card, you will need:

Granny Apple Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Pool Party card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅝” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right-hand corner
Basic Gray card – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – rounded upper right-hand corner
Basic White card – 5 ½” by 3 ¾” x 2 – rounded upper right-hand corner – one for the inside
Scrap Basic White& Basic Gray card

 

Laid one of the Plenty of Patterns Masks onto one of the Basic White panels and added Pool Party ink using a Blending Brush. I think this geometric design works so well with this cute robot.

The inked panel was added to the Basic Gray layer and then to the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

The robot was stamped in Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card and fussy cut out using sharp Scissors. I coloured it in using the Smoky Slate and Bermuda Bay Blends Markers. I added the robot to the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment was from the Nuts and Bolts stamp set but I only wanted the word ‘greeting’ so I covered the part of the sentiment I didn’t want with washi tape, inked it up with Versamark ink, removed the washi tape and stamped it onto scrap Basic Gray card. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool before trimming it down with Scissors. It was added to the card front with liquid glue.

Using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive, I glued the panel of dsp to the smaller piece of Basic White card.

I mixed up the colours and began adding the pieces of the rainbows to the top of the card panel. The completed panel was added to the slightly larger Basic White panel. The whole piece was added to the Granny Apple Green card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Basic Gray ink onto the strip of Basic White card and added it to the card front to cover the edge of the dsp panel.

Campervans and VW Beetles in pastel colours for a sweet Driving By card using Stampin' Up! product

Driving By

I have been playing with some of the new stamp sets available in the January – June Mini Catalogue and the Sale-A-Bration Brochure and have made a sweet driving by thank you thank using the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set.

To recreate the driving by thank you card, you will need:

Bermuda Bay card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper right corner
Fresh Freesia card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” – rounded upper right corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper right corner – for the inside
Scrap Basic White & Bermuda Bay card

I stamped the campervan in Basic Gray ink across the smaller panel of Basic White card. The cars were added, randomly across the panel in the same ink.

Using the following Blends Alcohol Marker Pens I coloured in the images – Pool Party, Fresh Freesia, So Saffron, Balmy Blue & Petal Pink.

The stamped and coloured panel was added to the Bermuda Bay layer using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive. A length of Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the reverse with Sellotape. The panel was then mounted on the Bermuda Bay card front on Dimensionals.

I stamped the sentiment in Bermuda Bay on a scrap strip of Basic White card and punched either end using the Lovely Labels Punch. I used the same punch to punch the ends of a slightly larger strip of Bermuda Bay card. The 2 pieces were then adhered together with the same liquid glue. The sentiment was then added to the card front on Dimensionals.

A childs kite themed birthday card made using Stampin' Up! product for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Kite Delight for the Stamper’s Showcase Blog Hop

Today I have been making a pretty card for the birthday of my friend’s daughter, she will be 8, using the Kite Delight stamp set from the upcoming January to June Mini Catalogue.

Colours used in this project are:

 

To recreate the kite delight card, you will need:

Polished Pink card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pool Party card – 5⅝by 3⅞” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner x 2 – one for the inside
Scrap Basic White

 

I die cut a circle from a 5” by 5” piece of copy paper using the Layering Circle Dies and my Stampin Cut & Emboss Machine. The die cut paper was then laid over one of the Basic White panels and Pool Party ink applied with a Blending Brush to the cut-out circle. The paper mask was then removed.

Using Basic Gray ink, I stamped the string of bows and the string of stars onto the panel, overlapping the inked circle.

The two smaller kite images were stamped in Basic Gray ink onto scrap Basic White card and trimmed out using Scissors.

Hello Pumpkin for the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stampers Showcase Blog Hop where our theme is ‘Fall/Autumn/Halloween’ and I have chosen to use the adorable Seasons of Fun stamp set to make my card which features a pumpkin child.

Colours used in this project are:

To recreate the hello pumpkin card, you will need:

Crumb Cake card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Crumb Cake Card – 5¾” by 4”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Pumpkin Pie card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – 3” by 3”
Basic White card – ½” strip

I ran the Crumb Cake panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder. I wrapped a length of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon around the panel, securing it on the back with Sellotape. The panel was then added to the Crumb Cake card base using Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive.

Using Early Espresso ink, I stamped the sweet image of the little girl dressed as a pumpkin onto the 3” by 3” square of Basic White card. I used my Layering Circle Dies and my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine to die cut the image. I also die cut a slightly larger scalloped circle from the Pumpkin Pie square of card/

I used the following Blends Alcohol Marker Pens to colour in the image – Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Ivory. Doesn’t she look adorable.

Using a Blending Brush, I added some Balmy Blue ink around the edges of the image. The coloured image was then adhered to the Pumpkin Pie scalloped circle and added it to the card base using Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the Season’s Blessings stamp set was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto the ½” strip of Basic White card and trimmed down with scissors. I added it to the card front with liquid glue. The card was decorated with a scatter of Artistry Blooms Sequins an a bow made using the same gingham ribbon.

A fun penguin themed birthday card, great for a child and made using the Penguin Place stamp set by Stampin' Up!

Birthday Penguin card

Here is a cute, bright and cheerful birthday penguin themed card made using the Penguin Place stamp set. A great card for a child or young person.

Colours used in this project are:

 To recreate the birthday penguin card, you will need:

Poppy Parade card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Pacific Point card – 4⅝” by 3⅛” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 4½” by 3” – rounded upper left corner
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – rounded upper left corner – for the inside
Basic White card – ¼” strip

 

I stamped the balloon in Poppy Parade ink randomly all over the Poppy Parade card front to provide some texture and added 3 strips of Gold Shimmer Ribbon secured with Tear ‘n Tape.

The cute little penguin was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the small panel of Basic White card and added the balloon string using the same ink. I added a little strip of ground in the same ink.

The bow tie was added with Poppy Parade ink and the penguin’s beak in Mango Melody ink. I stamped the balloon in Pacific Point.

Using the stamp that is meant for the penguin’s eyes I stamped in Poppy Parade, Mango Melody and Pacific Point to create a fun, spotty background.

Pink Ice Cream Anyone?

Here is a sweet pink ice cream themed card made for our team challenge. The theme is ‘Summertime’ and what can be more summery than ice cream?

Colours used in this project are:

 To recreate the pink ice cream card, you will need:

Smoky Slate – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3½”
Hand-Penned dsp – 5¼” by 3⅜”
Basic White – 5⅜” by 3⅝” for the inside
Basic White – 4¼” by 2¼” – for the tag
Scrap basic white

The panel of Hand-Penned dsp was glued to the smaller panel of Basic White, then to the Smoky Slate card base.

I die cut the tag from the narrow piece of Basic White card using my Mini Cut & Emboss Machine and the new Tailor Made Tags dies. The re-enforcer was cut from a scrap of Smoky Slate card. The tag was added to the card front.

I stamped the base layer of the cone in 2nd generation Cinnamon Cider ink, added the waffle marks in full strength Cinnamon Cider ink and punched it out using the Ice Cream Builder Punch.

The scoops of ice cream were stamped in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Polished Pink ink and added to the cone using a Mini Glue Dots at the base of each scoop.

The ice cream cone was added to the tag on Dimensionals. I added the drips in 1st and 2nd generation Polished Pink ink. I added a piece of the Polished Pink Open Weave Ribbon using Mini Glue Dots and topped this with a bow made from the Simply Elegant Trim.
