Christmas cards and tags made for the Christmas Stampathon using the Encircled in Nature stamp set and dies from Stampin' Up!

Encircled Christmas card – Christmas Stampathon

It is Christmas Stampathon time again and the theme for February is cards and matching tags and as per the rules of the Stampathon we have to make multiples. I have used the gorgeous new stamp set called Encircled in Nature, available in my online shop.

Colours used in these cards and tags are:

To recreate the encircled Christmas card, you will need:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Balmy Blue card – 3” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Shaded Spruce card

I stamped the wreath image, from the Encircled in Nature stamp set in Pecan Pie ink onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of basic white card.

Using a Stencil previously die cut using the largest of the circular Stylish Shapes Dies – the negative circle fits beautifully over the stamped wreath – I inked the background in the Balmy Blue ink using a Blending Brush.

The arc of pine trees were stamped in Shaded Spruce ink inside the stamped ring.

A piece of the gorgeous Copper Ribbon was wrapped around the panel and secured on the back with Sellotape. The decorated panel was then glued to the Shaded Spruce layer and then to the Balmy Blue card base.

The sentiment, from the Ringed with Nature stap set was stamped in Shaded Spruce ink onto the small piece of Balmy Blue card. I angle cut the ends and added the sentiment over the ribbon, securing it in place with Mini Glue Dots.

Beary Cute Christmas cards for the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are sharing anything Christmas. I love Christmas crafting and have chosen to share the cards I designed for my November classes using the Beary Cute stamp set, Beary Cute Punch and the gorgeous Beary Christmas dsp.

Colours in these cards are:

Circle Hinge card

Balmy Blue card base – 7¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Balmy Blue – 3½” by 1” – scored at ¾”
Basic White – 5⅝” by 3⅞” – for the inside
Balmy Blue – 5⅞” by 3⅛”
Balmy Blue – 3¼”” by 3¼ ” – Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies
Stargazing dsp – 3¼” by 3¼” – Die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies
Basic White – ½ a stitched circle
Scrap Basic White

We embossed the 5⅞” by 3⅛” piece of Balmy Blue card using the Timeworn Type embossing folder and glued it to the card front.

We folded the 3½” by 1” piece of Balmy Blue card and glued the smaller tab to the inside of the back of the card base to form the hinge. The hinge was then covered with the Basic White inside panel. We stamped the smaller snowflake in the upper right and lower right corners of the inside panel in Misty Moonlight ink, 1st and 2nd generations.

The card  was closed and the die cut Balmy Blue circle, placed face down on the front of the card and the hinge glued to it’s back. The die cut circle of Stargazing dsp was then glued over the top to hide the workings ogf the hinge.

A wavy top was cut across the half stitched circle to form a snowbank for the bear to stand on, it was then glued to the bottom of the stargazing dsp circle.

The polar bear was stamped in Night of Navy ink onto scrap Basic White card and punched out using the Beary Cute Punch. It was glued to the stitched circle.

We stamped the sentiment, from the Merry & Bright stamp set onto scrap Basic White card  in Balmy Blue and Misty Moonlight ink and fussy cut them out before adding them to the card. Iridescent Pearls completed the card.

Negative Circle Card

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White – 4⅛” by 4”
Adhesive Sheet – 4⅛” by 4”
