A pretty dsp pinwheel card made using the Mixed Patterns designer Series paper from Stampin' Up!

Designer Series Pinwheel Card

Today I am sharing a pretty, dsp pinwheel card inspired by fellow demonstrator Patti Dolan.  I have used the pretty Mixed Patterns designer series paper (dsp) to make my card.

Colours used to make this card are:

I created the dsp pinwheel card using the following supplies:

Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side
Night of Navy card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 2 – one for the inside
Mixed Up Patterns dsp – 12” by 1”
Night of Navy card – 1” by 1” x 2

I lightly drew two pencil lines on one of the 5½” by 3¾” pieces of Basic White card. One 1¼” from the bottom and the other 1¼” from the left edge. This helps to line up the dsp.

The piece of dsp was lined up on the bottom line where the two lines cross and glued into position. I cut off the excess and moved the strip to the left and rotated 45°. Again, I lined it up in where the lines crossed, glued it in position and trimmed off the excess.

I rotated the strip 45°, lined it up where the pencil lines crossed, glued it in position and trimmed off the excess. Finally, I rotated the dsp strip again, lined it up, glued it down and trimmed off the excess.

I cut the 1” squares of Night of Navy card, diagonally in half giving me four triangles. I added a triangle to each piece of dsp to form the pinwheel shape. At this point Patti ran the whole panel through an embossing folder……I forgot!

The sentiment, from the Artistic Leaves stamps et was stamped on the panel with Night of Navy ink and glued the panel to the layer of Night of Navy card. The whole panel was then glued to the Balmy Blue card front. A Drusy Adhesive-backed Embellishments completed the card.
