Colourful Leaves card – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing colouring techniques. I have used Sponge Daubers to add colour directly to a leaf stamp from the Artistic Leaves stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the colourful leaves card, you will need:

Blackberry Bliss card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Strawberry Slush card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Basic White card – 5” by 3¼”
Blackberry Bliss card – 2½” by ¾”
Basic White card – 2⅜” by ⅝”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

The large, detailed leaf, from the Artistic Leaves stamp set was randomly stamped all over the panel of Basic White card measuring 5” by 3¼” using Early Espresso ink.

Using Sponge Daubers I added Crushed Curry, Strawberry Slush and Blackberry Bliss inks to the infill leaf stamp. I huffed on the stamp to remoisten the ink and stamped overtop of the detailed image.

The stamped panel was then glued to the Strawberry Slush layer before being added to the Blackberry Bliss card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set was stamped on the small piece of Basic White card using Blackberry Bliss ink. The sentiment was then added to the card front.

Regal Leaves card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are showcasing something we have been working on recently. I was recently challenged to use all the ‘regal’ colours in a project. I am a subtles or brights girl, so this really pushed me out of my comfort zone. I eventually came up with a card made using the Artistic Leaves stamp set.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the colourful leaves card, you will need:

Cherry Cobbler card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Blueberry Bushel card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

 

I stamped the leaves from the Artistic Leaves stamp set from the upper right corner to the lower left corner using the following inks – Crushed Curry, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, Shade Spruce & Old Olive.

Each time the leaf was stamped I changed to direction of the image.

Using Garden Green ink, I stamped the sentiment from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set in the lower right corner.

The stamped panel was adhered to the Blueberry Bushel panel before adding it to the Cherry Cobbler card on Dimensionals.

Using the following Blends Pens I coloured in 5 Iridescent Pearls and added them to the card front – Darling Duckling (we have no Crushed Curry Blend), Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Blueberry Bushel and Shaded Spruce. These were then scattered around the leaves on the card front.

Colourful Leaves Card – Crafty Challenge Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Crafty Challenge Blog Hop where we are working with a dice roll. We were given Regals, Bling, Punch or Die Cut, Congrats and Horizontal to use to make our project. I have used the Coneflower stamp set and dies to make my colourful leaves card.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the colourful leaves card, you will need:

Garden Green card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Basic White card

 

On scrap Basic White card, I stamped the twisted leaf from the Coneflower Celebrations stamp set using the following colours – Crushed Curry, Real Red, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry, Gorgeous Grape, Blueberry Bushel, Pretty Peacock, Old Olive, Garden Green & Shaded Spruce

A Dimensional was added to the back of each leaf and before adding them to the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card working from the upper right corner to the lower left corner.

The sentiment, from the Sunrise Sailing stamp set was stamped in Garden Green ink. The whole panel was then adhered to the Garden Green card front. I deliberately left the leaves overhanging the Basic White panel.

Artistic Leaves card

Today I have used the Artistic Leaves stamp set to create a pretty, celebratory card.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the artistic leaves card, you will need:

Old Olive card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Night of Navy card – 5⅜” by 3⅝”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Darling Duckling card – 3 ¾” by 1⅛”
Basic White card – 3” by ¾”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

 

I stamped the detailed large leaf, twice with Night of Navy ink onto the 5¼” by 3½” panel of Basic White card.

Three small leaves were added in Old Olive ink. I added the splatter image, randomly over the panel with Darling Duckling ink

I glued the stamped panel to the Night of Navy layer and then added the whole piece to the Old Olive card base.

The piece of Darling Duckling card was embossed using the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla Twine around the embossed piece before adding it to the card front.

I die cut a banner from the small piece of Basic White card using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The sentiment was stamped on the banner with Night of Navy ink and added it to the card front with Mini Glue Dots.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping With Friends Blog Hop where we are showcasing the one sheet wonder technique. I have used the Autumn Leaves stamp set, still available in the last chance list to make my cards.

Colours used in these cards are:

 

To make the Autumn leaves cards; you will need:

4 card bases – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” – I chose Thick Basic White, Petal Pink, Strawberry Slush & Balmy Blue –
Misty Moonlight card – 5⅜” by 3⅝” x 4
Basic White card – 1 sheet of A4 card
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” x 4 – for the inside

 

The largest leaf was stamped in Petal Pink ink in a rough cross shape onto the A4 sheet of Basic White card.

Scenic Adventure card

Here is a simple celebration card suitable for a male in your life made using the new Scenic Adventures stamp set available from the 6th May in my online store.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the scenic adventure card, you will need:

Lost Lagoon card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Shaded Spruce card – 3” by 1½” x 2
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Winter Meadow dsp – 5” by 3 ¼”
Shaded Spruce card – 3⅞” by 2⅜”
Basic White card – 4” by 2½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Shaded Spruce card – 1⅛” by ¼”

 

The piece of Winter Meadow dsp was glued to the 5⅛” by 3⅜” layer of Basic White card.

I glued the 2 rectangles of Shaded Spruce card to the back of the dsp layer, one on the upper left and the other in the lower right. A length of White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the panel, and it was adhered to the Lost Lagoon card base.

Using the Textured Notes Dies, I die cut a rectangle from the 4” by 2½” piece of Basic White card. Onto the rectangle I stamped the ‘ground’ image from the Scenic Adventures stamp set in 2nd generation Gray Granite ink. The ‘cloud’ image was stamped in 2nd generation Lost Lagoon ink. The trees were then stamped in Shaded Spruce ink. The whole panel was then glued to the Shaded Spruce layer and added to the cardstock on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Cheers & Sips stamp set was stamped onto the small piece of Shaded Spruce card using Versamark ink. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool before gluing it to the card front.

Changing Leaves card

Here is a pretty birthday card made using the Changing Leaves stamp set which will be retiring next month. It is still available in the last chance list on my blog.

Colours used to make this card are:

 

To recreate the changing leaves card, you will need:

Summer Splash card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 4⅛” by 2⅜”
Basic Black card – 4⅛” by ½” x 2
Basic Black card – 2” by ½”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

 

Using second generation Summer Splash ink, I stamped a couple of leaves onto the Summer Splash card front.

The leaves were coloured using the following Blends Pens – Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Highland Heather and Summer Splash. I glued the strips of Basic Black card at the top and bottom of the decorated panel and mounted it onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Here is a pretty Easter card made using the Pick a Season stamp set and the Everyday Arches Dies.

Fresh Freesia card base– 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Fresh Freesia card – 5½” by 3¾”
Basic White card – 4¼” by 3”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
Scrap Old Olive card

 

I embossed the panel of Fresh Freesia card using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the Fresh Freesia card front.

Using the Everyday Arches dies I die cut an arch from the 4¼” by 3” piece of Basic White card.

I stamped the tree trunk in Pecan Pie ink onto the arched die cut and added the tree canopy with Old Olive ink. The groups of Easter Eggs were stamped onto the tree canopy with Fresh Freesia ink. The grass was stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Granny Apple Green ink.

A small piece of Tear & Tape was added to the back of the arch and a loop of Iridescent Striped Ribbon was adhered to it. The arched piece was then added to the card front o Dimensionals.

The sentiment from the retired Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped on scrap Old Olive card in Versamark ink. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and heat set it. I cut the sentiment apart and added it to the card front.

Loveliest Tree card

Today I have made a card using a colour combo provided by the Stamping Inkspirations Blog Hop. Sadly I forgot to add my link to the blog roll!! I used the Loveliest Tree stamp set to make my card.

 

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the loveliest tree card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Country Woods dsp – 5½” by 3¾”
Garden Green card – 4” by 2⅞”
Daffodil Delight card – 2⅞” by 1¾” x 2
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2¾”
Basic White card – 2” by ⅜”

 

The panel of Country Woods dsp was glued to the Thick Basic White card front.

I used a stamp positioner to stamp the tree image. I coloured the tree trunk using a Pecan Pie Stamp ‘n Write Marker and stamped it onto the 3⅞” by 2¾” piece of Basic White card.

The tree canopy was inked up with a Granny Apple Green Stamp ‘n Write Marker and added patches of the darker Garden Green before stamping it onto the same Basic White panel. I added grass using a stamp from the Pick A Season stamp set and Granny Apple Green and Garden Green ink. I dotted flowers in the grass with a Daffodil Delight Stamp ‘n Write Marker.

Using a Blending Brush, I added Boho Blue ink around the top and sides of the panel before adhering the panel to the Garden Green layer. I added the two panels of Daffodil Delight behind the decorated panel, one in the upper left corner and the other in the lower right corner. The whole piece was mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Spring Corners stamp set  was stamped in Garden Green ink onto the thin strip of Basic White card and added it to the card front.

Pick a Season Card

Today I made a card using the Pick a Season stamp set. This pretty set is one of the choices free with a qualifying £55 order.

Colours used in this card are:

 

To recreate the pick a season card, you will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Bloom Impressions dsp – 5⅞” by 2”
Melon Mambo card – 5⅞” by ⅜” x 2
Granny Apple Green card – 4” by 2⅞”
Basic White card – 3⅞” by 2¾”

 

The strips of Melon Mambo card were glued on either side of the panel of Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper (dsp). The strip was then adhered to the Thick Basic White card front.

I stamped the tree trunk in Pecan Pie ink onto the small panel of Basic White card. I found it easier to stamp the tree canopy if the trunk was already in place. The tree canopy was then added in Granny Apple Green ink.

The trio of tiny flowers were stamped in Melon Mambo ink in the gaps in the tree canopy.

Grass was stamped along the bottom in 1st, 2nd and 3rd generation Granny Apple Green ink and the sentiment, from the Simply Said stamp set was added below using the same ink. The decorated piece was then glued to the Granny Apple Green panel. This was added to the card front on Dimensionals.
