Love You Planter for the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are sharing ‘love is in the air’ themed projects. I am sharing a Valentine’s Day card made for my lovely husband, using the Planted Paradise and Lifetime of Love stamp sets.

To recreate the love you planter card, you will need:

Lemon Lime Twist card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛
Pebbled Path card – 5⅝” by 3⅞”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
Pebbled Path card – 2⅞” by 2⅛”
Basic White card – 3¼” by 2½”
Pebbled Path card – ⅜” strip
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside

Using the Perennial Postage Dies I die cut a rectangular label from the 3¼” by 2½” panel of Basic White card.

On the label I stamped the flower pot in Pebbled Path ink. I added the leaves with Lemon Lime Twist  and Garden Green inks. I masked off the top of the pot with a Post It Note. The label was then glued to the 2⅞” by 2⅛” piece of Pebbled Path card.

I placed the decorated panel on the 5½” by 3¾” panel of Basic White card, roughly where I planned to adhere it. I then stamped the leaves in the upper left and lower right corners of the topper. The topper was then added to the panel on Dimensionals. The whole panel was glued to the larger Pebbled Path layer and then to the Lemon Lime Twist card front.

Playful Valentine card

Today I am sharing the card I made my husband for Valentine’s Day using the Playful Alphabet dies, Window Sheet and strips of card. This card was inspired by a Youtube video by fellow demonstrator Angie of Stamping With Amore.

Colours used in today’s project are:

To recreate the Playful Valentine card. You will need:

Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛”
Window Sheet – 4⅛” by 2¼”
Misty Moonlight – 4⅛” by ⅜”
Panels of Misty Moonlight, So Saffron, Pacific Point, Old Olive & Balmy Blue 2½” wide
Scrap Basic White

Taking the 2½” wide strips of card stock I cut them down into thin strips, wider at one end than the other.

A lovely masculine themed Valentine card using Window Sheet, Palyful Alphabet dies and some scrap card

www.crafty-rootes.com – Playful Alphabet Dies, Window Sheet and card stock scraps make a lovely masculine Valentine card

I added strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive down the length of each strip and added them to the Window Sheet panel leaving a small gap between each strip. I trimmed off the excess using sharp scissors.

Dimensionals and Mini Dimensionals were then added to the Window Sheet behind the card stock strips, so they would be hidden and the whole panel adhered to the card front.
