In the UK, due to customs delays we must wait a little longer for our Paper Pumpkin kits to arrive. So today I got out the leftovers from April’s kit and added my own twist to a card by Creative Celsey which I found on Pinterest.
I created the happy retirement card using the following supplies:
Balmy Blue card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side Piece of card 2 – 4⅛” by 3¼” Piece of card front 3 – 4¼” by 3⅛” Piece of card 2 – 4” by ½”
I placed the Water Mask onto the front of the Balmy Blue card front and used a Blending Brush to add Balmy Blue ink through the stencil.

I cut down the Misty Moonlight panel to 4⅛” by 3¼” and tore down both edges to expose the white core. The torn piece was then glued to the card front.

The wood grain card base was cut down to 4¼” by 3⅛”. I stamped the rushes with Garden Green ink across the panel and added the piece to the card front. I also stamped the trio of birds with Misty Moonlight ink in the upper left corner. The bicycle was added on Dimensionals.

Using a strip left over from the Misty Moonlight panel, I stamped the sentiment from the Sunset Coast stamp set with Versamark ink. I covered the ink with White Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool. I flagged the ends and added the sentiment to the card front on Dimensionals.

I was so excited to hear that Paper Pumpkin was coming to the UK and the April 2026 kit – Lakeside Retreat hasn’t disappointed. I made up one each of the 3 card designs as per the instruction sheet and then started to play with the remaining pieces. This is my first alternate card.
I created the April paper pumpkin alternate card using the following supplies:
Thick Basic White card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛” on the long side Piece of card 1 card front – 5 ½” by 2⅛” Piece of card 1 card back – 5 ½” by ½” Misty Moonlight and Basic White label Scrap Pecan Pie
Using Peaceful Pine ink, I stamped a couple of clumps of rushes by the boat. I used the same ink to add birds to the sky on the same panel.

I used Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive to add the two pieces of card front to the front of the Thick Basic White card front.

The rushes were stamped again in the lower left corner of the Thick Basic White card front in 1st and 2nd generation Peaceful Pine ink.

From scrap Pecan Pie card. I die cut the top of the hanging bracket and adhered the Misty Moonlight label to it, trimming off the excess. I added this to the card front using Mini Dimensionals.
