Here is the card designed for my recent team training gathering. I have used the gorgeous Fragrant Layers stamp set which will be available from the 6th January in the January to April 2026 Mini Catalogue.
To recreate the fragrant layers card, you will need:
Strawberry Slush card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” on the long-side Secret Sea card – 5¼” by 3½” Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” Secret Sea card – 2” by ½” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” for the inside
I began by tearing a piece of printer paper from side to side. I placed the torn edges about 1¼” inches apart down the length of the smaller panel of Basic White card and held them in position with a bit of Washi Tape.

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are making ‘trick or treat’ cards using the Twisted in Time stamp set and the Thoughtful Journey dsp.
To recreate the trick or treat card, you will need:
Night of Navy card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” Thoughtful Journey dsp – 5” by 3¼” Basic White card – 4⅛” by ½” Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”
The twisted tree image was stamped in Secret Sea ink onto the panel of Thoughtful Journey dsp. I used a stamp positioner because I wanted to stamp the image multiple times to get a darker image, but you can just ink it very well and use an E block.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Twisted in Time stamp set used with an ink blending technique to make a pretty Halloween themed card
The leafy canopy was then added with Secret Sea ink. I used a Blender Pen to colour each leaf with Whisper White ink. All the leaves were coloured once; others were coloured multiple times to give added texture.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Twisted in Time stamp set used with an ink blending technique to make a pretty Halloween themed card
Using Blending Brushes I added Misty Moonlight ink to the edges of the stamped dsp. Next, I added Night of Navy ink to build up the depth of colour. Finally, I added Secret Sea ink to all 4 corners.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Twisted in Time stamp set used with an ink blending technique to make a pretty Halloween themed card
A little water was added to the Whisper White ink in the lid of the ink pad. The watery ink was then flicked onto the inked panel using a paint brush. The whole panel was then glued to the 5⅛” by 3⅜” piece of Basic White card. I mounted it to the card front on Dimensionals.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Twisted in Time stamp set used with an ink blending technique to make a pretty Halloween themed card
The sentiment from the Throughout the Year stamp set was stamped onto the strip of Basic White card with Night of Navy ink. I used washi tape to mask of the words and stamped each word in turn. I flagged the ends of the strip and added it to the card front.

www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The gorgeous Branching Out stamp set used to make a snowy branches Christmas card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
Hello and welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop where we are sharing projects showcasing something from the September – December Mini Catalogue. I have made a pretty card using the Branching Out stamp set and some ink blending.
To recreate the snowy branches card, you will need:
Gorgeous Grape card base – 8¼” by 5⅞” – scored at 4⅛” Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜” Basic White card – 5” by 3¼” Basic White card – 5” by ¼” x 2 Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾” – for the inside
The thin strips of Basic White card were adhered, at an angle, to the Gorgeous Grape card front and the excess trimmed off.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The gorgeous Branching Out stamp set used to make a snowy branches Christmas card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
I stamped the largest branch, in Secret Sea ink onto the 5” by 3¼” piece of Basic White card. I partially inked it up again and stamped it joining onto the original branch.
The pine needles were then stamped using the same ink. I used the smaller trio and the single leaf images.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The gorgeous Branching Out stamp set used to make a snowy branches Christmas card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
Using a Blending Brush I added Fresh Freesia ink to the lower third of the stamped panel. Next, I blended on Highland Heather ink and finally Gorgeous Grape ink bringing this down the sides and along the bottom of the panel.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The gorgeous Branching Out stamp set used to make a snowy branches Christmas card – Ink. Stamp. Share Blog Hop
A drop of Whisper White refill was placed on a clear block and a tiny drop of water added to loosen it. With a Water Painter I painted a little white ink onto the pine needle images and stamped over the darker leaves to give the effect of snow. I added a little more water to the ink and used it to add splatter to the panel.

The sentiment, from the Tractor & Co stamp set was stamped in the lower right corner in Secret Sea ink. The whole piece was then glued to the 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel of Basic White card before being mounted onto the card front on Dimensionals.

Hello and welcome to the Technique Tuesday Blog Hop where we are sharing background techniques. I am sharing a piece of home décor created using ink blending and inspired by a card made by Michelle Zindorf.
To recreate the inked background mountain scene, you will need:
Basic White card – 6½” by 4½” Frame – 7” by 5”
Using a 2½” Circle Punch from my stash I punched a mask from a Post It Note. I placed the mask on the Basic White panel, slightly above the middle.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I used a Blending Brush to add Pool Party ink to the entire panel with the mask in position. Next, I added Summer Splash ink to the top and bottom of the panel leaving a rim around the mask and a strip of plain Pool Party across the masked area from the middle to near the bottom of the mask.
Azure Afternoon ink was then added, again leaving some of the Pool Party and Summer Splash ink visible and finished with a covering of Night of Navy ink concentrating in all four corners, along the top and the bottom. The mask was then removed.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
A piece of Post It note was then placed about ⅓ of the way up the moon from the bottom. A second Post It note was then torn into a jagged pattern before being applied to the top ⅓ of the moon. I used Gorgeous Grape ink and a Blending Brush to create mountains in the gap between the Post It notes. The jagged mask was then removed.
With the straight Post It note still in position I stamped a tree onto the inked panel with the bottom of the tree on the mask. I repeated this step to add the remaining trees before removing the Post It note.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
I placed a piece of cellophane over the stamped trees with a sliver of the bottom showing. I inked up the trees again, stamped off on scrap paper and stamped a tree below and at the same approximate height as the full-strength tree above to provide a reflection. The cellophane was then removed.
I lightly added a little Pool Party ink to the ‘moon’ to make it less blindingly white and stamped the dotty image from the Coneflower Celebration stamp set with Whisper White ink to add stars to the sky. A white gel pen added texture to the wate.
www.crafty-rootes.co.uk – The Scenic Adventures stamp set used with tan ink blending technique to create a Mountain Scene piece of home decor – Technique Tuesday Blog Hop
The picture was now complete and ready to be framed, or it could be trimmed down and made into a card.
