Metallic Branching Out Card – Stamping Dreams Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the Stamping Dreams Blog Hop where we are creating ‘Tis the Season’ projects. I have made my card using the Branching Out stamp set and dies.

Colours used to make this card are:

To recreate the metallic branching out card, you will need:

Secret Sea card base – 8 ¼” by 5⅞” scored at 4⅛”
Basic White card – 5¼” by 3½”
Basic White card – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Secret Sea card – 4¾” by 3¼”
Vellum – 5⅛” by 3⅜”
Secret Sea card – 2¼” by ⅜”
Basic White card – 5½” by 3¾”

I chose 2 dies from the Branching Out die set and used the larger to cut a label from the 5¼” by 3½” piece of Basic White card. The larger and smaller dies were nested together and used to die cut a frame from the larger panel of Secret Sea card. The frame was glued in place around the die hole in the white panel.

Using Versamark ink I stamped the branch several times on the piece of Vellum, covered it with Gold Embossing Powder and set it with my Heat Tool.

I added the pine leaves using the same Versamark ink, covered it with Silver Embossing powder and set it with the Heat Tool. Finally, I added the pinecones with the same ink, covered them with Copper Embossing Powder and set that with my Heat Tool and set the piece aside to cool.

Tear and Tape adhesive was the placed on the back of the die cut panel, around all four sides. The embossed Vellum panel was then adhered to the panel. The 5⅛” by 3⅜” panel of Basic White card was glued to the centre of the Secret Sea card front and the embossed panel added over the top.

I stamped the sentiment from the Ornamental Christmas stamp set on the thin strip of Secret Sea card with Versamark ink. I covered it with White Embossing Powder and set it using a Heat Tool. I angle cut the end and added the piece to the card front.
